yeah rhinos are so damn cool. but there are other types of rhinos.

and arent we at a point in time where animals cant really go extinct? i mean if we want more western black rhinos lets just clone some more of them

Is there none left in zoos? I realize it's still a very bad situation, a quick google suggests they haven't been seen since 2006 and have been supposedly declared exctinct in 2011, so I'd expect there not to be.

 
People are freaking out about this. I mean its a big deal, but they hadn't been seen since 2006. You'd think people so upset over this would have been more in the know for the past 7 years.

Or maybe even the fact that it was declared extinct in 2011?

The hunting sulture is purely cause of the western/white culture, originally, africans would kill for survival, food and supposed medicines, it would never have been in excess..

Why may black people do the hunting now, because of years of oppression, poor working opportunities they are bought by rich white people!

Of course they brought it upon themsleves slavery existed before any white men showed up looking to buy slaves. In Africa you enslaved your enemies after you defeated them and it didn't matter if you sold the slaves to someone else, that was how it was.

Im sure you probably believe that African people reproducing irresponsibly and not using birth control and creating poor offspring who can't afford to eat is also white peoples fault.

Fact is every penny that is sent in aid to that shithole is a complete waste and is only enabling and prolonging their current problems.

And I hate Africans and like the animals.

Your a big part of whats wrong with our current culture and society, there is just no accountability anywhere for any group of people deemed a minority because criticism=racism.

Well, I also hate the Japanese when they show those pricks murdering dolphins. Its all relative dude. Go back to that Red Sox parade thread and you'll see people venting their hatred from Boston even though they probably just disliked the sports teams yet saw that stuff happening and the angst was ratcheted up a notch.

And basically the life of an endangered species animal carries far more value to me than the life of the dickhead Japanese guy killing the dolphin or the asshole African poaching a Rhino or Elephant.

I think you're an idiot cause you think "africans" are the reasons these animals are hunted... if you are gonna be racist please lay blame where it is deserved... The japanese issue is entirely different how? cause the japanese kill for themselves, not other people..

These animals are killed to fufill the need of rich Westerners, Europeans, Asians and American's.

So if you hate a group of people, just make sure they are the problem... It's not always racist to hate certain people. Hate Africans, you're still an idiot!

There are a lot of commodities that I know someone will buy if I get my hands on. That doesn't mean there is a standing order or demand. Say I stumbled across a package containing a kilo of pure herioin just sitting on the sidewalk. (Maybe if it was coke I could sell for somewhat close to what its worth but not H.) Im a broke dude, am I not going to pick something up that I know could be worth 10-20 grand even though I have absolutely noone to give me that 10-20 grand for it? Even if I sell that 20k kilo of H to my weed dealer for 100 bucks I still come out ahead and better off than if I didn't take it.

Thats the best analogy I can make to the poachers.

The guys who kill a Rhino are not necessarily part of a western/asian conspiracy. They just might be a desperate dude who knows that the Rhino is of value due to its scarcity and if they kill it somewhere, somehow, they'll get a couple bucks for it.

90% of the items poached off of endangered species don't end up in the home of a rich Westerner. They'll be in a stack of elephant tusks in some rural village where they are waiting for someone to come by who will trade them for whatever.

Its not that you are wrong completely its just you are inaccurately judging the outside demand for these items. Most people don't want them there isn't a huge market. Most animal parts that poachers take stay in Africa and the animal was killed for nothing, some rich guy doesn't even get his souvenir.

THats the best I can do to rebut your argument that Africans are blameless. I blame the Africans 90% and westerners 10% for poaching. You clearly are of the opinion that its the reverse and westerners are 90% of the problem and the Africans themselves are about 10. In the past 50+ years ago you would be right but in 2013 you're wrong.
