Were's it going down in illinois and southern wisconsin

I just moved out here from the west and now I'm wondering were to ride because no one out here so far does. I'm about 40 minutes west of Chicago. So if you know a resort with a nice park because i know there's not gonig to be any Big montain let me know and whats going on at mount Bohemia is it worth the trip?

 
where do u live im in mchenry northern IL by the border. If you wanna make a trip tyrol or cascade are great spots, depending on how good you are wilmot, grand geneva or alpine are kinda close and decent.

I'll drive it untill the wheels fall off, then I'll buy new wheels!
 
if you want decent park, Cascade and Tyrol Basin are going to be your best bets. Bohemia is pretty fucking fun when there's a good snowfall, but I wouldn't just go up there at anytime of the year. If you want the best park stuff I'd recommend making the drive up to Marquette, it's fucking dope there. I'll be in Madison, not too far north of you, so if you wanna roll up there just let me know, I'll be going a lot

I dunno if you'd want to ride with me I'm not the greatest right now I just barely started freestyle skiing, I'm better on a snowboard cuz i've been doing freestyle on that 2 years longer than on skis. My friend got my hooked last year. I had skied before but not freestyle and now im hooked. I'm going to be honest I suck but I don't care I'm there to have fun, goof off, go fast, and get better while im at it.

 
Had the same problem last year. All of the above are a little drive but alright, except bohemia its awsome on a pow day and maquettes park is so fun. Around chicago there is a shitty little hill called villa olivia that isn't worth it unless you go later in winter and steal these coupons from some of the ski shops around that gets u two tickets for the price of one so basically 10 bucks if u sell the other one. Ragin Buffalo is alright but all u can't use poles and all boarders but decent park. I feel gay on rails without poles

 
yeah raging buffalo would be sweet if you can use pole, you also cant have longer than a 160cm ski i think. Since your a begginer wilmot or grand geneva would be good for you. I dont like GG b/c their jumps are all lip with no table, imo. But i also work at wilmot so i ski free there and help build their park so i am a little biased.

no poles allowed, no over 160cm skis? what the fuck is this place, a skiboard hill? haha just kidding, i've just never heard of such a thing, and i don't have skis that short so i'm not allowed

That's gay i don't see why they wouldn't let them in it's not like we're trying to destroy anything or cause trouble. Atleast I just go there to ride and no poles is kinda gay

 
haha i moved here froom boston in march. I find cascade and tyrol suitable. it's no west but we like to have funn.

I will also hopeful be working at wilmot. Teaching again.

maybe if I can talk them and get some Cat time buidling the park since I have the experince. Cause I will be mad as hell if the park is shitty when it would just take a little more effort to make it that much better. When I skied there last febuary it was a joke I mean they had a couple ok and I mean ok jumps. but they could have easyily been pushed up higher and the landings could have been better.

 
wilmot's park should be better this year. they have been doing better every year. this will be their third year with a decent park. hopefully they get a few more rails. and have a few more jumps. a kick ass hip would be super. I am pretty excited about this year.

wilmot is a nice little park, grand geneva is decent, tyrol or cascade would be your best bet... im a former tyrol local before moving to marquette, tyrol was an awesome park back in the day and its still pretty good, cascade has really raised their standards and have a great park.

I just got my letter in the mail the other day about Teaching again at wilmot so that should be fun for a couple days atleast. Are any one you guys going to the Metting on the 20th or when ever it is?

i'll be at tyrol 4-5 days per week, probably cascade some of those, and numerous trips up to marquette... and of course a roadie out to whistler
