its the business owners/management who sit with accountants and see how much these massive parks cost to build/maintain/insure versus how much revenue they bring in.

competitions and special sessions will continue to exist because the parties managing those events pay resorts to host the event and hire special park builders on a need basis.

on the other hand, new businesses have been springing up to cater to those folks. i.e maximise in quebec

Easy tiger, there are probably quite a few 40 yr olds on here who rip way more than you and are in better shape as well. Don't hate on the dads. Most guys I ski with love park as well, we just can't go as big as we used to because of injuries, careers, and the families we have to go home to. If you're going to hate, hate the 60 yr olds, they're the absolute worst and are ruining everything. Also, the 80 yrs old are even worse.

New favorite comment besides the read a book one.? Anyone who is using the park equipment properly, has an appreciation for the sport to some degree. This was a heavy rant so it’s half irrelevant, people building the parks and riding them, however old, are what we need. Financial employees and insurance company’s are who I really despise. Definitely all of those 60 year olds you mentioned. I know I could be humbled by a large majority on this app, I’m just projecting frustration from my local resort. They changed owners and it’s gone from a pretty park oriented hill, to the “shithead” park skier attitude. They don’t have good terrain or snow, so it’s sad to see that it probably will go out of business. I’m not doing anything productive by just ranting on here, just frustrated. Got a lot of insight from everyone here though.

i knew a 60+ yr old who could rip better than us and was more fit... i skied pow with him on his last day.
 
We cannot control weather or not vail and ikon buy every mountain but we can at least control the culture at those mountains, which probably has an impact or something or something

Line makes some shitty skis but I bet you they pay more money to street skiers than Vishnu, on3p, jetskis and whoever else combined. LTC is a cornerstone of the community. They put out more content than Armada does, easily. Anyone who is riding lines is cool with me
