Went Wakeboarding with Iphone...

That was foolish.

Take the back off, battery out and sim card out and leave it somewhere.

It'll work in anywhere between a day and 6 months.

I had an MP3 player that went through the washing machine and it took about 6 months to dry out enough to work again.

take out the sim card and put it in a bowl of dry rice, it will absorb the moisture. if you had it in the water for a while, though, you're totally fucked

+1 for bowl of rice. ive done that a couple times and its worked out. but your iphone? your fucked. hahaha

you could try the classic bag of rice trick and throw it in a bag of rice. But it depends on what you did, did you try to use it after it got wet? then in might be totally broken.

still worth trying though, my brother went surfing with his iPod nano and dried it out successfully. the battery didn't work, but he replaced it for around $65 and it was as good as new

Rice is your best bet. I have had phones pretty soaked before and it really helped. Take it apart as much as possible and thow i in

My friend dropped her iPhone in the lake and then put it in the oven... It worked, but i'd go with the bag of rice

RICERICERICERICERICE

and wait as long as you possibly can before trying to turn it on.

if you already have then its probably fucked

I went swimming with my itouch i dried it out and the battery doesnt work thats all i can only use it luged in kinda useless

just go on craigslist and find someone locally who can replace the battery. shouldn't be very expensive if you just find someone doing it out of their home and its a pretty easy task.

i took my old phone water skiing once, it got up on its first time but ended up like yours. the rice thing works, but luckily i was was up for an upgrade

Take it apart as much as you can (i.e. removing battery, etc.) and then put it in a bowl of rice in the fridge.

thanks man.

and for all of you guys who told me to put it in the rice, it turns on now, but there is still a bit of water behind the screen. So i'm going to leave it in there for a few more days.

DONT TURN IT ON. and like everyone else has said, rice. if it still doesnt work after you dry it out, try plugging it into the wall. if it turns on when you plug it in its the battery which is easily and cheaply replaceable. if it still doesnt work you probably fried the actual circuits inside the phone which are expensive as fuck to fix and not worth it

Just to let all you guys know.... after 3 days in rice, the phone is completely functional and dry. thanks to those of you who actually gave me some advice.

my droid went for a swim in a hot tub and I was able to rip the battery out real quick and put it in rice for a day or two. Works perfectly fine now. Just make sure you let it dry out as much as possible before trying to use it again.

my good friend dropped his in a big tub of ice-water whilst doing dunkaroos. he didn't touch it for a few days ans it works fine.

i also hear putting it in alcohol is good. it draws out the water.
