Welp, that was easy

What’s a trick you thought was going to be hard, you were prepared to battle to land this shit… but ended up being easy for you?

Mine gotta be the hippy killer, I used to think it was technical sorcery lol

Back 3 swap on a tube. Had a dream one night I was doing them then went out a few days later and got it clean in maybe 3 tries. My brain already knew how to do it from the dream lol.

They are a lot easier than I thought too. Still scared of front 3 swaps though

If theres any trick that I thought would be easy but is actually stupidly hard is a left hand safety iykyk

Switch tails in general I thought would be fucked hard but it’s after the first time I tried one it felt not very hard at all. Unless the rail is super high and you really gotta lift those tails most of em aren’t that bad.

Ninja flip/tamedog, if you can do it on your feet it’s the same on skis lol

Same. I feel like I’ve mentioned it in so many random threads that I’d pick a different one for this ?

dub 10, figured it was going to be super duper technical i.e where to spot your landing but it was very straight forward almost exactly like a cork 7 but you hold onto the grab took me 3 attempts. much much easier than dub rodeo 9 which took 3 seasons to land one

I agree with cork 3 cork 5.

more interesting are the tricks that look super easy but are actually really hard. I’ve never been happy with any of the backslides I’ve landed

Hella facts

Opposite spins. Oppo 3s, 5s and 7s just clicked for me last year after I struggled with oppo 3s for many years

Switch rodeo 5. I was really in my head about what edge to pop off so I wouldn’t snag a ski on the takeoff, I wasn’t sure if I should set it like a misty or not as flippy, and i really wasn’t sure if it would fuck up my pop and end up with me knuckling or going way too fast to compensate.

then I stomped the first one I ever tried.

Backslides piss me off so much haha they never look as fresh as I want them to

180 off a jump! :) thought I’d die but landed first try. Second try I landed on a knuckle and fucked my binding up, that was cool.

Oh man, that stinks. Was it just the brake you messed up? Pretty easy fix but looks scary if you've never broken it before haha

Yeah little plastic bit on my Attack 14s busted off and sent the break (and the ski) down the hill by itself. I was able to patch it up for the day tho.

Switch left three, I look over my left naturally when skiing switch and spin to the left naturally. So doing I can watch me landing the entire time I’m spinning. I also haven’t done one in years so I’m sure I’d be pretty awkward if I tried one right now but once you’re comfortable it’s by for one of the easier tricks. Also unnatural 180s for the same reason.

So true, switch 3 was super easy.

I can do backflips in my sleep but it took me a long time to work up the balls for a switch backflip. I always feared over rotating straight to the dome. But when I finally committed, it was hella easy. Fun trick

270 gave me a scare when i was getting into skiing. I had trouble trying them again being afraid to get hurt. A couple years ago some friends started learning them and i thought that i just had to learn it at some point. I think i used 30 mins to figure it out and from that it was pretty mellow. Weird how that works sometimes.

2 on or off? But yes shit do be weird sometimes

Switch tails, thought that shit was scary as fuck until I did it and was kinda unimpressed by how little effort it takes. Same with sw tails 2 though that one took me a couple tries.
