Headed out to Wells Beach, Maine next week. Anybody else on NS do any skimboarding, surfing, or any other X-TREME! beach sports?

Just bored no hate please.

I was there the week of july 4 thru the 10th lots of fun lounging on the beach, grilling, and drinking beers on the deck. Where are you staying?

My family has a house there about 5 houses down from Billy's Mansion thing. I've been going there all my life. My great grandpa built the house back in the 50's.

I'm in Scarborough. I surf all the time at Higgins, and Scarborough Beach.

thread might do better in regionals though....

my aunt has a beach house there, usually me and my cousins go every summer but this year i couldnt cuz of work. i think its the first time in my seventeen years of life i havent been there over summer, oh well. my cousin broke her ankle skim boarding when we were like seven, it was kinda funny. but have fun, wells is chill, except the arcade sucks mad dick now...

for the past 10 years ive had a house on atlantic ave with my family but we stopped going.im staying with my friend in some house a little a little south of the main downtown area where the arcade and hotels are

sorry for the dub. But i snapped my ankle skimming there too when i was 14. During the first fucking 10 minutes of a 30 day trip. Needless to say, the good folks at York Hospital cut me open, stitched me up, and outfitted me with a cast that went up to my nuts, as to discourage me from the temptation of fun activities.

I'd never been so miserable whilst sitting on a beach.

God knows how many dollars in quarters i pissed away playing time crisis 3 at that stupid damn arcade as a child.

Nice. Maine Indoor Karting is the shit. My neighbor works there, but i heard that portland is making a law that would ban nudity at platinum plus.

LOL I may be going there next week actually. My family and I went there every year when I was a kid (well, we were in Ogunquit, actually, right near the footbridge, on Ocean drive - but we went to Wells everytime, the ice cream spot there is BOSS)

i surf there occasionally. i went about 2 weeks ago the waves were pretty small and it was still cold enough for a wet suit. other days the waves are a good 5-6 feet

Yeah Footbridge is the best, the beach near the trolley terminus and the Ogunquit Bridge is way too much crowded

long sands (york) and gooches beach (biddeford) are 10x better for surfing. Long sands has a small surf zone tho, maybe wells would be better.

I skim and do liek mad spinny thingys, and i sponge liek pro. But, the skim absolutely sucks in maine, surf is decent.

haha that game is fucking pimp. my cousins and i used to milk our grandparents for all the loose change and small bills we could, we racked up so many fucking tickets in the upstairs we got some nice shit. haha i love crab fishing at the marina too, until they closed off the docks that were close to the house, then we would have to drive around. good memories. haha

this one time i was at bible camp and we had a lake next to us and i was going to do a skinboard but jesus said that there wasno way.

We used to go to York and stay at Short sands beach from when i was like 8 to probably 12. I'm gonna be up in Ogonquit area from either the night of the 5th or morning of the sixth (Weds or Thurs) to like midday of the 10th (Monday)

Lies. Its PT's SHOWCASE! Get it right, haha.

Anyways...I surf at York Beach a lot, even going out tomorrow, I'm out there a lot, If you see a kid with nike 6.0s and an ec tee shirt, don't be afraid to call me out.

York is better than Wells, you just gotta have the inside scoop, they have a small surf zone but after 5 the lifeguards leave and you can surf the whole beach.

you ever hear of the mcGuigan family? they live in york. The girl I know, katie, is gonna be a sophmore in college but I know she has some siblings

Wells, Maine is awesome. I've been going there for a week each summer until this one, family got bored of it so we went to Rhode Island instead. If you go to Drakes Island beach there has always been pretty large waves there and it isnt crowded. I've seen lots of kids skim board there and a few surfers.

I was there for a week and came back yesterday ... I should have worn NS shirts

I actually saw a seal 15 ft in front of me in the water, kinda weird.
