So,

I moved into rez today. My roommate isn't gonna be here until Thursday, i've met him for like 10 minutes. I don't know a soul. It's fucked up. Theres a bunch of stuff going on tonight, but still, it feels ridiculous. My childhood is dunzo. Time to get sloppy and meet some new negros.

Just bang some of your favorite music and keep your door open. People will come by and if they like what they hear then they'll stop in and you have a new friend!

That's basically the "I'm nervous about meeting new people" method. The easier thing to do would be to just walk around and introduce yourself to people.

This is college man, everyone is looking for new friends. Trust me I was just as nervous as you, clinging to my old friends. But these past 3 weeks I've been hanging out with only new people I've met and I'm never looking back.

my buddy first day in rez just sat there with biggie bumping, and rolled some j's. next thing he knew his room was stoner central for the entire year.

...good for you for branching out, not clinging to your high school freinds, that's what alot of people do

anywho, just leave your door open, don't hide, blast some music that you like, offer to have a few people over to pound some brews, do work. it'll work itself out, shit gets fun soon.
 
yeah one thing thats suuuuper gay about my uni is that you can't leave your doors open because of it being a "fire hazard.

But yeah. Its workin. we'll see.
 
damn dude, its way easier than meeting people new friends in a ski town when you are under 21. YOu got it easy.
 
yea man, i'm just coming up to the end of my first week at school, and like they said, just bump good tunes and keep ur door open and always say "hi" to ppl walkin past ur door. Alotta times they stop in and u get into indepth convos... "bam"... new friends. College is sick!!
 
just get naked and then nonchalantly walk to the shower and if anyone asks what youre doing be like, going to the shower what the fuck do you think. its a good way to leave a solid first impression and then people will want to get to know you.
 
i had my first night of res last night. when i got here i was super nervous about meeting people, but i just walked up to a dude and was like whats goin on im tim. almost everyone ive met has been really chill. everyones just looking to have fun.
