At work we recently recieved some members of the minority backround and I always try to direct them to do necessary tasks...

My greatest concern is that I don't understand thier contemporary "slang" and wondering if any of you could help me out?

One of my co workers said the new lunchroom was "the bomb" and I immediatly panicked internaly, I thought for sure there was a leak in the industrial stoves gas-line. After asking them if we needed to evacuate they laughed at me like I was an infant.

I better catch up on these crazy silly synonyms befor I have a heart attack ! Can anyone help : )

it depends on the ethnicity of the workers in your office, you need to address them with the appopriate terminology, how ever you can generally refer to minorities as "colored," they tend to like that and it should create for a positive working atmosphere. let me know how it goes.

My father refers to minorities as "colored" individuals. I am not that stupid bucko, why would you even attempt to get me fired? Sicko.
