Well I just got the gayest excuse to not go skiing

So I just got the call cause our school goes skiing on fridays to Catamount. WELL apparently they cancelled it today cause its to cold. Fuck that! The hell do they want it 95? Colder the better for me. ANNNNDDD I just went outside with a wife beater and some jeans and I could sun bath out there. Assholes....
 
they said its -10 at the mountian which is probablly from wind chills. I live in Dover and its 10 but feels like -4 cause of chills
 
well just because you feel like hot shit wrapped in a blanket doesnt mean everyone else is as well prepared. grow up and understand that its about more people than just you fuck head
 
That's pretty lame. I mean it's pretty nice here today, -10C, but when it's not it's UUUBER COLD. Like>>> -15 to -30C. And If it's only -20C we're still out skiing.
 
probably something in your schools insurance contract about weather conditions and such. i think i remember back in my middle school days they would keep us inside due to cold weather. its all about liability. you can thank celino and barnes.
 
On top of alta last week was -15. It wasnt cold though cause there wasnt any wind. Wind is the only thing that makes you cold
 
our schools winter carnival (jump and rail jam included) got canceled today, its not your schools fault its the states, they are required to cancel any outdoor events if the forecast calls for it to be below 5 degrees (f).
 
i guess that sucks, i had to ski a couple days ago when it was 3F and windy as hell and it was pretty miserable...plus the park chair wasnt running
 
Goddamnit I just got back from work as a ski instructor, and Im pissed all the schools didn't cancel. It was sooooooooo fucking cold...I was good for a lesson but it got so bad by the second hour that we just went in the lodge and got hot chocolate..-10 baby.

we tried but we are way too lazy to do it, it would make things so much easier...or if everyone used kelvin or something.
 
i skipped school today to go skiing and it was like 7 degrees (f) in roch. ny but it was kinda windy and making snow but it wasn't too bad
 
last year our MN state xc ski meet got canceled because it was too cold. it was like -40 out though. it was funny because all the kids left in the hotel went out to the mountain that night, and into the morning, and skiied, and sledded on cardboard in the dark. my buddy froze his eyes shut. it was dank. a couple years earlier, at our section meet, it was -34 with windchill, and it has to be -20 or above to hold a race, so the race director stuck the thermometer in his jacket, and the race was on.
 
yes, but he should still get to go because hes well prepared, those who aren't shouldn't be allowed to go and should have the common sense not to go so as not to ruin it for others.
