Hey dudes just registered...loving the site so far.

Right now im on an OLD set of 159 solomon TEN 80S.

I think 1998s maybe? im 6-1, and im thinking about a new set. my cousin ssaid something about K2 making a great ski and i was interested in that...what you guys think?

does size matter also?

ive seen kids with shorter skis doing all the spins and jumps and they seem to riding a smaller ski. lemme know.

but again sweet site and im happy my cousin told me about it. thx guys

yea you should be around 175-185 depending on your weight, for k2 i would recommend public enemys or fujatives
 
yea, well k2 makes good skis, but the shorter ski trend is kinda a thing of the past. if ur 6'1 i suggest gettin skis 180+ cm, which is the largest options on most new twins. if ur an all around skier and interested in k2, check out the public enemy or the fujative, they will be good skis for you. for other brands, check out the line chronic, dynastar trouble maker, rossi scratch, and so on. have fun and good luck. oh and P.S. alot of the people on this site like to rip on people so dont take insults too seriously, if ur gettin disrespected its either by a young kid or some ignorant fool.
 
uh, no, thats wayyyyyyyy to short. your skis should be between the tip of your nose to anywhere about 2in above your head.
 
you wont get any above your head tho, unless you buy like 210s, theyd prolly be around your eyeline to mid forehead.
 
man those will be a big step, i was just getting medioker on my solomons! I do think its time for some new ones tho.

Looks like my cousin isnt too knowledge able about sking! haha, hes eastcoastar5 btw he told me about the site. thx 4 the help tho guys. im gonna prob check out the public enemies. oh what aare the ar5s?

i dont kno whats going on so im gunna keep playing along in hopes that im actually being nice to a new skier. ar5s are the basic armada ski, theyre nice, kinda expensive, but a good choice nonetheless.

wow .. ur a big kid..y not think about the 181 ar5's. sick ski w/ some sick graphics but a bit expensive. I just got the 176's n they r sick. But good luck man hope ya find somethin
