Welcome To Our Wonderful Country.

Wow, i literally stumbled upon this around 1/2 an hour ago. Why can't the government send a full swat team after every possible stoner?

reading the comments on youtube, apparently the pitbull was caged or behind a gate. the only dog the cops had to deal with was a corgi. a dog with a height no higher than a mans kneecap.

I want to bust into those cops home and shoot their fucking dogs for leaving the lights on, or not turning the water off when they brush their teeth. God I fucking hate cops.

Overcontrolling, powertripping, motherfucking pigs. Why do cops wonder why people hate them, this reason.

I understand that the dog could have been a threat to the cops and its saftey or whatever. But to shot it once then let it lay there and wimper and die THEN decide to fire a whole fucking clip into it is inhumane. Second, theres a kid in the house, I want to know who will be paying for this childs psychologist.

oh btw

FUCK YEA 'MERICA

hey guys look at it this way
at least america is winning the war on drugs so are taxes aren't going to nothing now right? right...

god i hate kids who have no concept of whats going on. it was obviously a failed raid. you really think they send swat teams after misdemeanor amounts of marijuana? search warrants are not handed out easily so they obviously had a good amount of evidence to raid the home. does anyone know any back round of why they raided the home, or you all going to jump on the police hating bandwagon? the police obviously got played here though.

what fucking right does any authority have to kick in someones door, kill their dog, tramatize the little kid and deystroy their house over probably less then a half oz. cops are just such fucking pussies, they show up in full armour with ten guys to investigate a tip about weed. fuck i hate cops

god i hate people who defend the police etc even when theyre clearly in the wrong

also, people who think "back round" means "background." dumbass

You are a fucking idiot. Cops will raid based on little to no information. My buddy in college got raided because an under cover cop came to the door asking to buy weed and they said "Lee is not here" because they assumed that he was selling this kid some weed, which was untrue. That was the only thing. They destroyed this kids house, smashed holes in his wall, and turned over his fridge for less than an eighth of weed. They raided a house of engineering student in Golden CO. The whole system is out of control and you are not helping.

dude i said you were defending them, which is undeniably true.

also, you think that "back round" means "background." dumbass.

shit, man don't give me crap for that. i have a hard enough time with words like font.

and the only defense i have is that the cops involved are doing what they are told. its the investigators who got the warrant that people should be pissed about. yeah they shot the dog which is nasty but its sad when kids (as they are right now) get all hard and flip out thinking they raided the place for an oz of weed. someone fucked up, that's for sure.

I'll jump on the bandwagon because the cops fucked up. And they fuck up ALL THE TIME. There's a reason people don't like them, maybe you've never had a bad run in with cops who were power tripping assholes but quite a few people (myself included) have. But wait, skiierman is always right and all superior, hail the guy who calls everyone else a fucking idiot. Shut the fuck up.

So messed up. Just hearing the poor dog getting shot at gave me chills. Law enforcement is full of assholes with intentions of fucking other people over. They must have been expecting some kind of resistance, because half of those SWAT guy looked stumped.

yeah, exactly, someone fucked up and it happens all the time. no one said it was solely the fault of the cops present, but at least one of them was completely in the wrong too. the fact is, yes, plenty of work goes into this shit but when they show up with a swat team and pull shit like this, the last thing any citizen should be doing is blindly defending them

I was totally profiled and arrested for having a fuckin nug a few days ago. $400 fine for about $10 worth of weed in my pocket. It was bullshit and the law is going way to far trying to control us. It will only get worse and worse as the years add on. There will never be a revolution in our lifetime, and we weill never enjoy the freedoms that are ours, that we let the government take away. This is the cycle of government, and it will be another 300 years until America collapses so enjoy what you can while you are alive.

the judge in my town pre-signs warrants before he goes home for the day. that way no one has to wake him up in the middle of the night . there is always a stack of blank warrants for cops to fill in for kicks

I generally try not to hop on the cop hate bandwagon, but they killed two dogs for no reason. That's unforgivable. I don't care if they were ordered to raid the house. They had no reason to kill those dogs. If a SWAT team showed up to my house because of some shitty investigation I'd be pissed, but there are no words to express how I would feel if they killed my dog.

Even if those guys were hardcore drug dealers, if the dogs didn't do anything why kill them? It's not like the dogs are drug dealers.

Fuck that shit, it makes me sick to my stomach.

okay this happens every once i a while in america. stuff like this happens soo much more in countries with terrible governments. just because it gets put on youtube people know about it. not saying its right at all. that was fucking disgraceful. but don't hate on america.

there are two sides to every story.

not just the one the guy who releases the video wants to tell. It is possible that the parents were moving drugs, and just did not have any at the house at the time. Just as well as it could have been unnecessary force. The point is you don't know. Don't draw assumptions.

now i'm one of the last people you'll ever hear say fuck the police, but really?

one of the dogs was caged

but i'm also curios about what happened leading up to that, i can find an actual news story, nothing but really opinionated little blerbs

i honestly hate you. they didnt say "hey this guys got half an ounce lets go raid his shit" you fucking moron. they obviously had reason to believe there was a lot more going on (which there probably was). and either way he still broke the law so tough shit for him.

You do understand that you were breaking the law, don't you?

I love weed as much as the next guy, and believe that the laws surrounding weed are dated, unjust, and plain old unintelligent, however I wouldn't bitch about getting in trouble with the law if I had weed on me.

Plus a real revolution would not be a good thing for this country. The revolution we need is one of mindset and the way we act.

If you want laws about weed to change, you have to educate people around you who don't know the truth about it, and you need to vote. Not tell people on NS how stupid the laws are.

Your story is completely different than the story that this thread is about.

no one's claiming that the defendants were angels. in fact it hardly matters what they were or weren't doing.. the fact is we fund the cops and system and they should be held to a MUCH higher standard. there's no defending shit like this in my opinion

there's a roster of idiots on this site you can count on to come into threads like this and blindly defend the state/system/status quo regardless of the situation. skiierman and adamastronot have made their entrance, now we wait for the rest of the A team..

ya i agree with the people saying that there must be another side of the story cus they wouldnt get a warrant to do all this shit just for a guy who has a bit of weed, so im not gonna go buck on the cops and shit, but im not gonna say they were right either. i must say though, the whole killing the dogs thing is a bit much, im sure they could've avoided that.

That doesn't include bitching about it. Plus I'm pretty sure that people don't smoke weed to better the country. Times were also different then. The government punishing people for smoking weed is very different then the British government's laws.

How many people need to think that the law is unjust, for it to truly be unjust.

I want weed to be legal as much as anyone, but bitching about it won't do anything. Raise awareness and don't act like a punk.

I was making a point to all the bullshit that is spewed in threads like this. I know what I was doing, and I know that it's illeagal. That won't change anytime soon, BUT I will not cater my life and change my ways because the goverment tells me to do so. I will deal with the consequences of my decision on the other end.

This country has been dumbed down so far it's amazing. We have the politicians that our grandparents, parents and ourselves have voted into power. The most basic thing people forget is that We The People have rights, and GIVE the government privileges. When they overstep, it is our job to call them out and punish them for treason. This never happens because people don't care or understand. Now it has gotten to the point where We The People have a serious battle aganst our own government to restore what The Constitution had outlined for us.

Everybody always seems to say "well in another country..." Fuck that. We are not in another country, we are in America. Our country. The biggest threat to us is our own government and the founding fathers unsterstood that. The feeling that I get, is that nobody really cares about their own freedom. They just want whatever easy life they can get. Thats fine and all, but when my life suffers because of bullshit laws and stupid crap that I don't want but have to pay for, my pursuit of happiness is infringed, and that makes me unhappy.

The one thing that makes me feel a bit better, is people are starting to educate themselves outside the classroom. Go to a library and read a book about our history, or just talk to a really old guy about how things were.

I never get involved with bullshit internet arguements because of the ignorace, but for the end of this postrant I'll give you a quote.

"Good men must not obey laws too well."

I agree with you for the most part. I still think that your first post was too bitchy. It doesn't really help anything. I'm not gonna smoke weed in front of cops to prove a point, that doesn't accomplish anything. I will go to rallies and sign petitions, try to end ignorance, etc. I try to push the envelope without getting in too much trouble. Also, this thread was about police overstepping their boundaries, not doing their job.

First off Fuck you.

If you look at it on a micro scale outlawing weed doesn't seam like that big of a deal. But on a macro scale it is just another series of laws designed to control and manipulate the people of this country.

In the 1700's the British government kicking down your door and killing your dogs for possession of black market tea is a good analog to this situation.

And to all the kids who think they fuck up the warrant, you could be right, but you are probably wrong. There has been countless cases where warrants were issued solely on smell or less. Like I said I know of a direct case where a raid warrant was issued based on one kid saying, "come back later to buy some weed." This country is fucked but so is the rest of the world.

that case had to have been thrown out. You can't try and charge someone for an eigth when the warrant was for a pound or watever it was for. A judge would throw that out so fast

I'm not saying that laws concerning weed are good. I'm not saying that I think the guy should get in trouble for having weed on principle. (sorry, that's hard to word right without sounding like I'm contradicting myself.)

My point is that disobeying laws pertaining to weed for the sake of disobeying laws is stupid. Instead of saying fuck the police when you get caught with weed, spread awareness about it, and make people angry at the people who make the laws rather than enforce them. Yes, some cops are asses, and yes I believe that a cop shouldn't arrest/fine someone for having small amounts of weed because if cops stop enforcing it attitudes might change.

We do not know the background story of the article, however, if you read my previous posts, you can see that I do not agree with their actions whatsoever.

"In the 1700's the British government kicking down your door and killing your dogs for possession of black market tea is a good analog to this situation." I thought the argument was about the kid who got in trouble for having weed, not what the thread is actually about

"If you look at it on a micro scale outlawing weed doesn't seam like that big of a deal. But on a macro scale it is just another series of laws designed to control and manipulate the people of this country."

It's all about money. Alcohol and tobacco companies want weed illegal so they can make money. Paper and cotton refineries want industrial hemp illegal so they have a monopoly on the industry. There is also the idea of weed being made illegal in order to have a reason to throw people protesting the war in jail.

Ugh, I'm done arguing, I don't even know what I'm arguing about anymore. I guess I was most annoyed at his manner of going about dealing with weed being illegal, and now people are trying to make smoking weed seem like such a noble cause, rather then trying to get high.

naw dude im not talking about the warrant, the judge most likely signed the warrant because of an investigation linking this guy to at least a pound, not an eighth

Yea guys are all fucking idiots stop fighting each other on the internet. This is unacceptable. There is no excuse for how those officers acted. Even if there were kilos of heroine in that house they had absolutely no legal right to kill those dogs. None. This is the result of years of pent up police mentality and aggression. i respect the police force. I really do but there are sooooooo many reforms that need to occur and not one of them will be made as a result of NSers arguing in non ski gabber.

haha, i've had bad run ins with police, i'm just not a brainless idiot who generalizes everything. don't worry, you'll grow up someday.

oh good, another thread in which uninformed kids say everything the police did was illegal.

The dog could have posed a thread. Regardless of how large it was, or what sort of cage it may have been in. If it poses a potential threat, and is disposable, it will be shot. The swat team could have done better, but they did it by the book.

This is clearly a situation in which people above the swat officers fucked up. SWAT teams don't just sit around gathering information, then going out and doing raids. It was probably some lawyer higher up who organized everything. The police just showed up to do it.

And it's not that bad at all.

I mean, if you prefer, you can move to another country with a fair system. I'd recommend one of the many where a police officer will kick in your door, then demand money, or kill your family.
