iv been in milwaukee the whole season so for and im coming back this weekend. just seeing if welch's park is fully open yet and if its any good.
 
i was there this sunday, and it wasnt fully open

they had one small jump and a few rails and boxes

but i love welch anyway, id still love it if there wasnt even a park
 
so far we have a midget jump, long flat down at top of hill followed by the rainbow,

then 3 other little little rails on the of the hill, and one small one at the mid/bottom

it ain't bad right now, the top rail line is pretty fun, we were trying 3 changes on the flat down sunday, but no luck
 
alright thats not too bad. i wish they would build more jumps with some good size. it seems like they always have one big jump and a couple of little things.
 
i will be there tomorrow (sunday) i need to get away from hyland the place is killing me.
 
welch isn't bad...you make it fun really...

we got a long flat to down

to a pretty large rainbow rail

to the left of those features we have a down light up box (yes it has purple neon lights built in)

a wide flat box

and a tiny flat rail

then you cruise down the hill and come to the dragon tail that is actually set up really nicely (thank you fat jon, landon, seyffers or who ever it was)

and on the right days the lone jump can be solid...not to big though but we make it fun!
 
as of sunday we were making a 25 and a 16 foot flat bar.

they are going to be prime, no word on when they will be finished, hopefully soon
 
Im pretty sure I see you guys in the park all the time. I know i always see the guys that work the park throwing some pretty cool stuff along with some other regulars. Im the guy in the red medic on the chronics that usually falls when tryin to 360 that jump and I kinda suck at the rails too. I wish you guys didnt make me look so bad, haha. But if anyone ever wants to go for a hike into the woods, gimme a holler, I'm hard to miss
 
to planet_captain...ha thats way sick and yes I (we) always see you...its hard to miss a guy in the oakley medic...i ride the burton ronin jacket (limegreen and blue one) with burton bright white pants...and armada AR5's

and to featherstone...welch is actually making a rail? thats way sick ha...is it a flat rail? cause we could really use one :P
 
we are getting a 26 foot double barrel flat, and a 16 double barrel flat, double kink is coming after those are done and they almost are
 
dude all you gotta know is to keep the head up lol oh and im rockin the camo planet earth coat with some burton brown pants (poles not included)
 
i'll be hitting up welch on a daily basis during january once my shoulder feels better, pretty pumped.
 
i don't get that one, i was talking to fatty about taht today...the "park bully" broke...so you are telling me they cant use the "piston bully" to do the "park" bully's job? whats the difference in the two?
 
I was up there on sunday afternoon and damn, you guys did a mighty fine job on the jump, it was sooooo smooth and felt so clean comin off of it. I hope its still that nice ttomorrow...
 
well i was talking to mikey and he told me that perry was being a little bitch. he said he didnt want to ding up the piston bullys just to move things around in the park. oh well i just hope its not beeing set this weekend cause i want to ride it.
 
The park bully's blade can move faster and go up and down higher and lower so you can actually shape features how they should be, a piston bully cant do it, i mean it can, but it would be a super flat jump or whatever you are making.
 
I agree! That jump is so perfect. I just want a few more like it in various sizes.

I'll be out there Saturday, so hopefully the park isn't being reset then.
 
its been reset...the new down rail has been moved to the right of the dragon tail...and the flat down follows it (which is also turned around, short flat long down)
 
I was out there Saturday and had a great time. It's nice to have a park that's not jammed into some tiny little space.

Anyway, nice work!
 
i was there sunday night and me, colten, fish, and zak w were bored so we shaped the jump so it had square corners haha, it was really legit and looked nice, i hoped it stays like that for a while
 
So is that the new smaller flat rail I see from the lift?

And if thats the case, does that mean the dub kink is next?
 
yes, that is the new flat rail, and the double kink and another box are on the way shortly.

the shorter flat rail and dragon tail are going to be put up next to each other on a pad above the rainbow rail to fill in that spot, should be a sick line.
 
wow did i hear 2 features? on one pad? at welch? all in the same sentence? ha

wow tony...i can't wait you guys do rock...and welch is finally legit.
 
hell yeah, and for good reason...you'll be happy when welch can stay open a little longer in the spring because with the amount of snow they had on the hill...it wasn't going to last to long.
 
dont get me wrong im glad they blew the snow but it was a bitch to ski in last night. and i helpd mikey and fat john dig out a couple of the rails and that was retarted. but hell ya mound season might be back for a bit now.
 
well... you will probably give me shit but I race for St. Olaf College and we train there so they pay for my season pass. Nate Eigenfeld from A-Crew lives on my floor and he got me into freestyle so in my free time I ski in the park. (I competed at the slope style comp at Hyland the 18th of december) Last night was my first time this year in Welch's park this year. I had a red and brown jacket and red snowpants last night....
 
i think i saw you, i was in the green pants with brown and white jacket. i helped out the park crew dig out one of the rails and it took forever because they were under so much snow, o well welch will be able to stay open longer with this snow i hope :)
