Weird thing in the sky tonight

anyone seen a bright red looking object in the sky tonight, I have been watching this thing for an hour or so and its flashing and crap, sometimes it moves around also, it almost moves like a kite. I dont think its mars because it mars wouldn't be blinking?

 
actually twice a year Mars does start to blink, it has to do with the air pressure interfering with the humidity in the air, as well as earth's relation to the sun.
