Weird charlift

whats so weird about it...?
 
notice no chairs going down the other side of the tower? he's saying that the path of the cable is a triangle and that while you're riding up, the lift turns.
 
yes i have been on that chairlift atleast 100 times i ski there every weekend and that chairlift was seriously made but the fucking dumbest people ever it turns and the other side is about 500 ft away from you
 
haha that chair lift is sweeet..and i was with a friend one time when both his skis popped off wen we hit the turn.. some funny shit.. but they should never get rid of it.. i look foward to it ever time i ski at killinton
 
^^^ the chair is very hard to find take the K2 gondala to the peak and instead of going over to cascade just take a right n ull see it
 
why do some resorts lifts go up on the right while others go up on the left? in WP half the lifts go up on the left it freaks me out
 
I was there a month ago and that chairlift is so wierd, but the turns funny, it jerks you really quick
 
so basically there are 2 unloading points and after the first one it changes angle a bit?

thats sweet, but brecks got it beat with the life that does like a 120 degree turn.
 
That's pretty awesome, are there any lifts you guys are afraid to ride? Cause seriously the first time I rode chair 6(I think) in Vail I almost peed my pants when it started going back down after the first unload point, going down is so scary.
 
a chair at my hill does a backflip. it just goes up and around. i guess they had some excess rope they didnt want to cut off.
 
haha that lift at killy is intense i almost got bucked off the first time when it went around the corner. some ghetto shit
 
yea, its kinda fun the first time but then you realize that the lift is pretty long, cold and pretty much shitty
 
ahaha i regognise that chair from an old warren miiler movie from the eighties, everyones falling off classic warren miller momement that is made not funny by his jokes
 
there is a quad at some mtn in NY that has a pole down the middle of each chair seperating each side into doubles.
 
i love that lift, for all of you taht dont understand, the lift turns. when you first get oin the chair your are parallel to the opposite chirs, the farther you go up the mountain, the farther you get from the opposite chairs.then the lifts turn and meetupo at the top
 
yeah i made a wrong turn once n went on that, i didnt have the bar down and i was lookin back at my bro so i had no idea it was coming...almost shit my pants
 
ye thats one hell of a crazy chair. The reason it doesnt go the same way as the chairs coming down is because the chairs coming down have less wait on them there fore they need less supports. The chairs coming down go over a really high area and it doesnt need supports that way. The chair going up has to go around that because it needs supports.
 
i found another pic the map dosent show the corner that good though, it shows it as a gradual turn but it realy is'nt
