I'm 167, do you think it would help my skiing if i got down to 160 or little lower
(Just Jumping and Air Time)? I ride 172 Atomic Triplets. Im just looking for another opinion.

Depends on whether its muscle or fat.

If its fat then yes, you'd be able to launch yourself higher, but like the guy above me said, it's not going to be that big of a difference.

get bigger skis. i rode the same skis as u and im 170ish and i thought they were noodly even for a park ski now i ride 181 ar6s and they rock

yah 7 lbs isn't going to do much. more air is simply, more speed(longer drop/tuned skis) and a strong launch technique/form is where its at. or simply a better kicker/lip haha.

adding muscle would be more beneficial(especially throwing spins), air is more launch technique though

you could also bring your skis up in a grab to make it look higher/ better

7 lbs of fat yeah not so great but of muscle is good but idk i try to keep my self under 160 right now i am 5'10'' i just stretch occsionally sit ups but i have been lazy lately so just stretching and not eating cruddy fatty food.

Alright Thanks guys... you helped alot. i was just wondering how much weight in general(fat or muscle) affected your skiing .

dude some day when its bad snow or tjust take a few runs where u just do top to bottom burners without stopping or just get in the weigh room

im a little over 200 about 205 and i dont beilieve that i need to losse weight but i work out a lot so

Weight has nothing to do with how high or how big you go on jumps. That is determined by your pop and speed on take-off. If you weigh more, you will eventually go faster and you will go bigger off of jumps. The only thing losing weight can do for you is make your knees last a bit longer, and maybe you'll land a few more tricks. The best thing to do is work on your leg and core muscles, and work on flexibility, not lose weight, especially if you only weigh 167.
