I've recently bought a pair of used 2009 afterbangs for dirt cheap. they look like they are almost brand new and it was a deal that i couldn't pass up.

anyways, they seem a little heavy and i wanted to make sure that they aren't waterlogged by checking the weight.

I would go look at the current line website but i don't know if they have added or taken anything away from the ski.

any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

They do not really get water logged thats a genral misconception here. If the sidewalls blow out and water can get into the core, then the wood may absorb some water, but they will not get water logged any more then any other ski. Its just that because they have wodden sidewalls they tend to blow out more then other skis, so more get rotten cores and people call this waterlogged allthough technically its not. They are genrally a heavy ski though, so if you are comparing the weight to other skis you have had, they will feel heavier, unless you used to ski on big race skis or something. If there in good condition maybe sell them on and spend the money on something else.

thanks!!! that really helped.

and about selling them, i bought them from a good friend and would feel bad about selling them right away
