Weezer=what?

Hey, all you Weezer fans and everyone else who could care less. I'm sure you've all noticed the 'new' direction that Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo has decided to take his band. With the new Green album and the Maladroit album coming out in the last 2 years Weezer has seemed to depart from its roots and forge a new sound. But for all of us fans, at least for me, these new albums just don't do it like the debut Green, and the Pinkerton album. With a new album in the work, and Rivers claiming it's going to be 'something different' do you think that Weezer is going to basically kill it's die hard fan base by completely changing it's sound, or do you think they'll even notice?

 
hm, tough to say. i for one was plesantly surprised by 'maladroit', but the green album is still my favorite.

let weezer do whatever the fuck they want. yeah, pinkerton is amazing, but if they prefer to do what they're doing now, oh well. its their band.

i think the mark of a great band is the ability to change and progress their music, while keeping it in the realm of 'good music' i guess im a fan of weezer...and it should come as no suprise that they are gonna change up their sound- listen to pinkerton in comparison to their blue and green ones... even rivers said that he now hates pinkerton, and that its not good music... im sure he thought it was good when they made it, but peoples tastes change and so do the sounds that bands come out with. i say that if theyre gonna ventrue into a new sound, good for them.

Dude, the blue album was ok, but I think that Pinkerton was the biggest change for them. The Green album was probably closer to the blue one thatn any other. And Maladroit was great too.My favorite Weezer albums:

1. Pinkerton

2. Maladroit

3. Blue

4. Green

weezer is awesome. definitely one of my favourite bands...ive seen em in concert twice, they put on a damn good show

but the order definitely goes like this:

1.PINKERTON

2.Blue

3.Green

4.Maladroit

BLUE is the shit..nothing compares

Pinkerton is 2nd best

and the other two i just can't put in order

I think BLUE album was the best they ever made. All the albums they did after, changed. The style changed and they turned more commercial.

Weezer BLUE rocks :)
