Weekend in Europe

So I'm studying abroad this semester in Europe and was thinking of doing some skiing while I'm over here. Was wondering if anyone had suggestions where to hit up while I'm over here and preferably some place where I wouldn't break the bank. Names of hostels/cheap places to stay would be much appreciated as well.

La Clusaz - film a POV video of you trying to hit all the lines and features Candide does in OOTD and OOTD2

Well try to avoid Switzerland if you're on a budget. Basically it just got 20% more expensive and even though a lot of ski areas are lowering their prices to compensate its still more expensive than France or Austria.

Do you have a car or friends that want to ski aswell and have a car?

Ok so I just read in the other thread that got deleted you want powder and big mountain.

Just want to mention that the current snowpack is very interesting all over Europe. Every snowfall came with lots of wind resulting in lots of tricky layers. There have been a lot of accidents and already 39 deaths this winter.

As I said Switzerland is more expensive but could be worth it. Check avy reports. To find out where the powder is check this website:

Me and my buddy looked into renting a car and it doesn't seem like a bad option.. And @holyschimmel is that where you'll be at this weekend?

it's where I live, but I won't be there next weekend -.-

I've enjoyed Tignes quite a bit. Fun terrain that's easy to hit off the lift. European snow conditions are typically not as good as in the US/Canada, so your definition of good snow may soon change.
