Weed Stamps

Has anyone heard of this? 20 states require people to buy stamps to put on their weed. If someone is caught without a stamp, they can be penalized with tax evasion. I don't know to what degree these laws are enforced, but its absolutely ridiculous. Check the links:

I read about these a awhile a ago and it seams like the goverment was trying to make money off nugs from the stamps in the form or taxes... but when that dident work they made the laws greater.

State stamps are follow-ups to the U.S. Treasury and Harry Anslinger's initial attempts to make pot illegal. Pot wasn't illegal, but you had to purchase a U.S. Treasury stamp, something the Treasury department never produced. That way, if you were caught w/weed, you'd be busted for tax evasion. They did this because it was difficult to convince states to divert their law enforcement funds towards drug enforcement.

yup. they never made the stamps because it was impossible to get them. you couldnt get the stamp without having the weed on you and if you had it with you when you were trying to get the stamp then you had weed without out a stamp which is illegal or w/e

i remember something similar back in 1765 when England put their Stamp Act on us
