yeah this was announced about a month ago. Its not a huge deal because yes local government may legalize it but its still a federal crime so that means the feds can can get you. And as my memory serves me right Alaska had pot legal up to the late 80's or something like that

Have fun trying to grow weed in alaska, indoors or out, it still needs some sunlight. Im sure it could be done, but you'd have to have some knowledge. I think that montana is legalizing it for medical use but it would be way easier to get.

ok guys. i live in alaska. you need lights to grow pot up here. it is legal to have 4 ounces in your house but you cant transport it are grow. so theres some holes in the system. but that is only under state law. the feds can fuck you. but fuck the feds. so we vote in november on it. it might pass but i dont know.

sure its cold but if your indoors its called you get a HID... like a 400watt - 1000watt Metal Halid or High Pressure Sodium lamp.

a regular incandesent light has about 100 or more lumens depending on the wattage of the bulb. i think 60 watt bulbs are like 170-240 lumens depending on the type of incandesent bulb.

lumens are how much light the bulb is producing. so more lumens = more light

now a 400 watt high pressure sodium (HPS) bulb has around 56,000 lumens and the 1000watt's have like 130,000 lumens of light output. the HPS sodium bulbs emit the orange to red scale better for flowering.

the Metal Halide (MH) bulbs are emitting the blue spectrum for vigorus growth. they run slightly less lumens then the HPS, around 52,000 for a 400 watt bulb.

you also have to obtain a nice ballast to supply the correct power to the Mogule base bulbs. these run from around 200-1500 for top of the line. you can get a switchable ballast that can use both MH and HPS.

so you can get a killer light setup for about $400 or more depending on how good you want your shit to grow.

now you have all the sunlight you need and your indoors :)

just get yourself a res, some nutes, seeds, and some type of medium to grow in... and your good to go my friend, STRICKLY INDOORS buhahaha

meaning u can do it anytime of year even if its -20 outside.

you just flash ur greens card if your ever in trouble and then ur fine. its a medicinal MJ card for those sick with desieses needing cured by ganja. i jsut wanna move their to get a greens card hahah

actually, CA passed legislation a while ago, but the government made them re-write the legislation, so AK won't be the first place to vote, or most likely pass it, but I doubt the Federal Government will let it fly. Vancouver took the most hard line stand I've heard of a few years ago when it passed legalization legislation, and the Canadian government told the Vancouver (I believe it was a city ordinance, but I may be wrong, it might have been provincial) that they cannot overturn a federal law on a local level, so the cheif of police went on record saying if he could take the law off the books he'd refuse to enforce it. Not sure to what extent Vancouver's law's are enforced now, but I thought it was a pretty ballsy move.

i used to live in ak, the sun in the summer shines until 10:30 at night in july, and everything grows huge, if you lived in fairbanks you could grow it really well, but that place is deathly cold in the winter
