Weed: Is it really that bad?

I haven't really done much research, but my friend had, and from what he has told me, weed has a lot of benefits, stress relief, calming effects, pain reducer, and every time that you smoke, it is like doing an hour of aerobic activity. Since I have started smoking, I have seen no physical decline, and have acctually noticed an improvement. I judge this on our schools pacer test or whatever the hell it is. The first time this year, I got a 70 or something, and then when I ran it again today, after smoking quite a bit, I beat that by20 some laps. I don't know if the benefits outweigh the harms, but I don't really care, its fun as hell.

I smoke on the weekends, thats it. More than that with school really starts to mess things up I find.

 
nah if youre responsible you can smoke on school weeks, i go to school high alot, for some peopel its bad, but for me, its fun and relaxing

I think that arobic exercise is bullshit, but what your friend might be getting mixed up is that it increase your heart rate and some times to a rate similar to that of an arobic exercise.

 
yeah definetly not aerobic exercise, if it were then stimulants like cocaine and meth which also rasie blood pressure and heart rate would be 'exercise'.

i really doubt that smoking weed is like doing an hour of areobic exercise. thats completle bullshit. assides from the tar that you breath into your lungs, the only reall bad effect of weed is a condition where you basicly just dont have nay motovation anymore. you kinda just sit and do nothing, and smoke. but they also dont really understand the long term effects of having THC in your braincells... although if you look at your parents, im sure that most of them has smoked befor and most of them are still fine.

I assume that when he told me about the aerobic execise thing, it was getting at the increased heart rate. But when im stoned, i cannot concentrate, and being at school wud fuck me over.

it doesnt cure cancer, its proven to help with the pain thats associated with cancer and cancer treatment. aids too.

weed is a drug. not a bad drug tho. all you little kids who say drugs are bad have never been to high school. 'you'll become a lazy homeless bum if you smoke weed!' is the horseshit they spew in those D.A.R.E classes, and that's what kids believe all through middle school. Then they learn the truth.

this country's thinking is all ass backwards. Legalize weed, and shrooms, illegalize handguns and assault weapons. Also legalize prostitution.

Anything that can be picked from mother earth is not a drug, if it has to undergo chemical modifications in a labratory then it is a drug.

pot is not bad if you know what you're doing. if you're a fuck up that sucks for you and you have to deal with it but that doesn't mean everyone is going to share the same expierences as you do. yes there are certain cases where pot leads to bad things but that only happens if you let it. if you can control yourself you'll be fine. they only teach you the bad in school and in anti-drug programs because they base their information on the fuck ups and not the people who don't have a problem.

Smoking weed is not bad... its all the governments... liek last year i was told by the government that they had heard about a kid dieing form overdosing on marijuana... and i said yah i'm sure he overdosed on marijuana... he was like yah it was only marijuana in his system... my thaught was that is fucking bull shit becasue you would pass out before you o.d.'d on weed... he told me that isnt true so it told him to fuck off and take his false comments elsewhere.
