Weed in wa and co?

he is right. WA bill took effect 1 month after the election while in Colorado governor Hickenlooper has to sign off on the bill before it takes effect (which he is expected to do about a month after the election..soon)

Damn. Last I saw CO went into effect the same 30 days after the vote.

My bad for making the assumption. Hopefully CO gets their shit straight soon.

I'm living in wa now. Anyone is Seattle there is a stash mob at the fountain at 7pm bring your ounce and your bub

For how long have you been living there?!

I live in Idaho now, but I posted for all to see about the fountain at 7pm. I'm pretty stoked for everyone.

Uhm just recently I was in hood river for like two months now I'm here in wa full time just recently but ill be here for a minute

I just smoked weed legally. Strange and not as cool. Now I'm going to have to start doin something else illegal.

I don't think it's legal to buy weed yet without a card. I don't know I'm just a silly white girl

Pretty much. But ive asked just about every one i know how its going to work and nobody knows what the fuck is going on. So well see

it hasn't yet been established, as of now all thats set in stone is the recreational use and not being ticketed for up to an ounce, I think they have like a year to make a plan for selling it in stores...

This post from the seattle police department this morning made me laugh my ass off;

In an email to officers, the department told them they should only issue verbal warnings in cases of public marijuana use "until further notice.”

Police spokesman Jonah Spangenthal-Lee wrote on the SPD Blotter that officers will be advising people to take their weed inside.

Or as Spangenthal-Lee put it: "The police department believes that, under state law, you may responsibly get baked, order some pizzas and enjoy a `Lord of the Rings' marathon in the privacy of your own home, if you want to.”

Once police start actually enforcing the law, it will be a $50 fine.

And to beezy...last night people also gathered at the space needle for the 12:01 celebration. Mad people were there smokin I heard.

I thought he was waiting for the obama administration to release a statement on whether or not they would be cracking down on federal law

Ahhh damnit haha well I have been smoking all day anyways. I am so stoked for the sumer to come. Cause that is the time when I burn outside the most. I have been WAY more less discrete about chiefing recently and people always say right on or just walk by saying nothing or make a joke. The price of bud in washington is going to be quite a bit, but what the hell its legal and the money goes to the schools. However I will still purchase my leaf illegally.

I don't think it goes into effect for CO until January, but a lot of cities here have decided to stop pursecuting people for posession of 1.5 ounces or less.

Well technically medical marijuana was under the same discretion so as of now the law should treat you just like you have a medical card.. If that makes sense

You don't need a card. You only need to be 21. 21 is the ticket man. It will also take a year or so for stores to open and sell marijuana, however I have heard there could be some opening in the summer but it will probably be later than that.

No i know that. Just now the government will test it as if everyone over 21 has a card. So whatever your states policy on medicinal patients was is now basically for everyone (over 21 of course)

which is weird because smoking outside is still illegal-- so i guess the celebration isn't so much about legalizing marijuana, as it is a celebration that law enforcement said they'd issue warnings for illegal weed smoking rather than arrests.

In an email from the president of CU yesterday, he stated that it gets written into law in January and goes into effect January 2014.

from what I understand, at least for CO.

It will be legal for 21+ starting january 1st.

People 21+ can buy in stores without a medical card around October 2013 or so.

annoying, I like edibles instead of smoking but don't want to stink up the house making my own butter :/

not really worth dropping the $ to get a card at this point either.

you still need a medical card to purchase pot from a dispensary. state regulated stores will pop in the near future. kind of like liquor stores.

im high

our asshole (rich from the alcohol industry) Governor Hickenpooper has until Jan 5th to sign it into law, he could sign and make it legal today but he won't because he's a cocksucker. Maybe he'll do it Jan 1st, maybe he'll wait until the last possible day.
