weed in spain is dank and very plentiful. if you are staying in a youth hostel or something, id recommend talking to the staff or some other travellers at the hostel to gain a better insight on the local bud scene in the area.
the spanish are extremely passionate and proud of their weed, id suggest talking to taxi drivers and shit and ask them about the local bud scene
if you are very lucky a spanish family will invite you to their house and show you their home-grown, and you they will probably invite you to dinner and such

Literally kids around there smoke all day and night in the summer wherever they want so i'm going to just assume you're planning a trip and aren't currently there right now.. Unless it's because you're with family It isn't hard to find people who would sell or even smoke you up if you're actually sociable and start talking to people around there.. For example one night walking back from a bar we came across those trampolines where you're strapped in a harness to jump higher and even had the guy running it hook us up after like 5 minutes of talking.
Otherwise I actually know a kid that lives there. Went to visit him with another friend from the the US last summer. He lives just outside of Madrid and the bud is $5/g pretty much anywhere (no one could believe a g costs people back home $15-$20). Really good shit too. Theres a lot of super chill kids that speak english there that i know would hook you up. If you have the time and money to do so also make the trip by train across spain to the beaches of Marbella, best experience ever and the bud there is also the best you will have in your life.
I still think its retarded to post in online forums asking for this shit but pm me anyway and i could give you more details (with a price).

sorry for the thread jack but i'm going to spain this summer and i know im already going to madrid but i heard about marbella but i heard it also costs a lot of money for everything there. i also did research on the drinking age and i found out its 18 but i'm only turning 18 the month after i get back home so how strict are they with serving minors?

In Madrid you'll get served drinks practically anywhere besides some of the better clubs in the city that would otherwise ID you being youre a tourist. But go to Madrid to check out the spanish culture seriously because there's some really cool restaurants downtown and even if you don't like soccer the vibe at a real madrid match is insane.
In Marbella beach everyone there speaks english because so many people in northern countries vacation there. Pretty sure Jon Olsson posted pictures of his summer house in Marbella but yeah its where a lot of rich people go so it might be a more expensive trip. I could only go because my friend has a cousin living there to room at. Depending on when you go in the summer, Marbella basically becomes the equivalent US springbreak location for european college students without the trashy/douchebag atmosphere. The port is where you wanna be all night its a giant strip of streets packed with people and lined with clubs and bars that are impossible to not get into as businesses compete to attract more people by handing out coupons all night for free drinks and deals to anyone walking by. As a 17 year old going into senior year who only ever went to high school/college house parties and the few bars i could get into with shitty fakes, spain was such a dope experience that i wish i could do again.
Above all take full advantage of the cheat code which is your american accent when meeting girls there
