OMG - Can someone tell me how a venue can't play a simple DVD? They really made PBOZ look really bad man, if anyone from that camp want's to explain what the hell happened I think we all want to know?

 
That was definitely unfortunate, I felt really bad for the Poorboyz crew. I think mcmennamins has some explaining to do.
 
Yeah it was one of those things where i was hella pissed it didn't work, and they offered refunds but... why would i take money back from skiers who worked hella hard to make the film. So i just baught the film and watched with homies last night!
 
I left about an hour after the movie wouldn't play...audio with no visual...visual with no audio...it plays for about 3 minutues and then the count down 20 - 19 - 18 - 17 - 16.................plays again and then nothing again.

How long did this go on...I suppose I left around 9 pm? I can't agree more with you on taking money from peeps like the PBOZ crew, but I would gladly take it back from the McMorons at Kennedy School
 
It was disappointing for sure, eventually they just stopped trying because it was obvious that it wasn't going to work. Props to Poor Boyz for offering up the film at a discount with a T-shirt and giving away extra swag to appease the attendees. Try to keep in mind that sometimes things just happen that are out of anyone's control and be happy that winter is almost upon us! Cheers and happy turns everyone!

To Our Fellow Devoted Fans,

We appreciate your support in not taking to harshly to us in

what we can only call the Kennedy School Massacre last night. We have taken

pride in showing our films there over the last 4 years. We ourselves too enjoy

the venue, the pizza, the good beer and then fun offering that the whole

theater ties together to bring us all as skiers. The technical glitch, with

became a nightmare, that started off when the blue screen of death went on, was

cause due to some faulty gear being over-wire d and blue circuits. When our

crew working with the theater management was finally able to over-pass it and

re-patch it, the projector just didn’t seem to want to keep up with everything

and started over-heating, hence the re-start.

To watch a movie and have to re-start it every 5 mins is not

the experience we intend for our triple threat tour moviegoers. We had to make

the decision based on the equipment malfunctioning to stop the show and offer

money back, as we do not want to cheat those who pay to see our product on a

sub-par level. We are currently

trying to re-work a deal to show the movie for free at the theater again to

all.

We are terribly sorry that the night had to be some-what

canceled and it’s never in our interest to have to do that to any of our shows,

however it was out of our hands and the unfortunates of it all came down to

making sure we could provide something to you to make the experience better, if

that meant, refunds and movie deal specials, so be it.

A special offer is being offered to anyone from the Portland

triple threat show to be invited at no extra charge on our guest list at the

Spokane Show this Friday night 9/25. This will be featuring the US debut of

Riley Poor’s Movie on Simon Dumont “Transitions”

I think a free showing in the Portland area would be a great idea, I didn't want a single cent back b/c I know how had you guys had worked on the film and putting the show together. It would just be nice to see the movie.
 
that was really unfortunate. i have been to the Kennedy school a bunch of times in that theater and they have never had any thing remotely like that happen. so dont give up on one of the coolest spots in pdx to watch a movie.

this is all karma for making it an exclusively 21+ show, once again.

the kids are the ones who eat these videos up. they are the ones who wait months for a premiere.

it's all about the next generation, poor boyz! cater to us god damnit!
 
As much as I like Hood River, I really don't want to have to pay to see a movie, that i already paid to see. And this is nothing against poorboyz, i place blame on the theater.
 
McMennamins should be giving the refunds. That's weak. We need to start renting out the Tower Theater for these premiers. Last year's Rage premier was dope, and professional. the Tower is expensive, but there's not much else in Bend, I've tried the Regal 16 in the Old Mill for last year's Turbo premiere I put on for Level 1, but it's even more expensive from what I remember so I just put it on up at COCC...lame sauce.
