Wedding pictures\opinions

Media and Arts has not been getting a lot of attention so I decided to post this on here.

As some of you know I like ski photography but this summer I decided to recycle myself into a wedding photographer .

I put together a little blog with some of my favorite shots.

Let me know what you guys think !

Thanks

There are some quality photos in there. Didnt look at them all but it looked like a beautiful wedding too.

wrong. if you want real quality posts, put this there, nsg will just give you garbage.

There hasn't been a lot of traffic on my post so I though id give it a try on here.

I can filter out the good and the bad ones don't worrie,

Thanks for your though

wrong, if you want real quality posts, put it on an actual photography site where lots of other wedding photogs will comment on it

Some of them seem pretty basic/bland, such as the one of the couple under the tree in the shadow.

coming to NS for photo advice is like going to a computer forum and asking hot to tune your car, sure some people might be able to help, but you will be MUCH better helped somewhere else.

anyway, gonna break it down pic by pic for the first page because im bored

1. can't see the bride and groom, lighting is terrible

2. focus is off, under exposed

3. why?

4. colors are good, a bit soft, could have gone for a slightly smaller f stop to get hands in focus

5. trees...ok?

6. can't see the bride and groom, what is the point of this if you can't even tell who they are, NEVER HIDE YOUR SUBJECTS IN SHADOW

7. not really sure what this is

8. under exposed and blown out, overly soft

9. same as 8

10. soft, nothing standing out

11. slight recomposing to the right would have made this better

12. small part of dress cut off, her face is turned away

13. nothing seems to be in focus

14. focusing down slightly more onto the ring would have made this

15. tiny bit to dark, soft

16. focus/composition

17. come on this is a wedding, about a bride and groom, not some random guy's coat pocket

18. half her head is gone, either don't show any of it, or show all of it

19. it's a jar....

If you were the only one there taking pics I feel really bad for the couple. Bad out of focus poorly composed pictures, unimportant subjects, no good shots of the bride and groom. As someone who was recently married I know how much pictures from that day can mean and you blew it, sorry to say but you really shouldn't be abusing peoples trust on a day like that, maybe for Jimmy's soccer pics but not a wedding with a budget over 10k. Once again, I really hope they had someone else taking the main pictures.

all the photos on in your signature just seem way too photoshopped...maybe you shouldnt try to give advice to people who dont overdevelop their photos like none other?

why not? he made valid critiques that hit the nail on the head for each photo.

OP, some nice shots in there, but you definitely have a long way to go. wedding photography is much harder to learn than people think so I don't blame you at all, it's just a shame that the learning process has to come about through trial and error on what could be the most important day in the lives of the bride and groom.

and idk about photography, but filming a wedding solo blows.

It really bothered me that at the end there was no pictures of the bride's face. When you are shooting people, your audience always wants to look at the eyes. It is an important part of portraits. On the third picture you are way too far away which I feel like killed the whole vibe. A wedding picture should bring out emotions of joy on your audience and I feel like not a lot of the pictures brought a deep feeling to me. I think the hallway idea is ok but with the bridge and groom as they walk. the emptiness of the picture is not a good vibe. I LOVE the one with the little girl holding the bride's dress. beautiful.

Yeah, I would put some more time into your technique before shooting more weddings. The concept was there in a lot of those photos, but the execution was a little bit off.

i feel like you should have focused on the ring instead of the top finger

And this one the bride and groom should have been lit from the front, causing the crowd (being less important) would be darkened

my 2 cents

those are just not very good. and i'm no photographer. nobody cares about vases and other random shit in the foreground. wedding's are about people and their emotions and you have everyone's face cut off or blurry.
