Wedding Crashing?

Watched the movie again today, was thinking, how many really actually do it, does anybody from NS do or has done it? Any stories?

it's not the type of thing you should go out of your way to do.

However it's perfectly commonplace, if not encouraged if you're say, staying at a hotel where a reception is taking place. It would be rude to not swing by!

well not everyone, and I mean I know a vast majority of the population doesn't do it, or doesn't have a "wedding season" where they have a schedule of planned weddings, thats just unrealistic, but I mean I was really thinking if a few people did it just once, do they have any good stories.

This happened to me. I was staying at a hotel where a wedding was going on. We met a guy named Steve who thought we were awesome. We told him we were his cousins and he was like YUP! Come on in. We all had a drink, some food, then went up and fell asleep... but without Steve.

shits alot harder then you think. Prime though is when you find one with an open bar, just chill there get wasted and make small convo

WINNING

so i was watching fast and furious last night.... you think if i tried i could drive through caves, beat people up and escape from the cops like vin diesel?

My friend and I drove by a huge wedding the other day and were set to crash it...

until we got close enough to realize it was like a huge reconciliation ceremony or something. We were pissed. What made it worse was that we then found a sign saying that it was open to the public.

I did this in Germany.

We (2 of us guys, 3 girls) were going to visit a concentration camp in Germany (I know.. heavy shit), and the nice hotel we stayed at was hosting an authentic german wedding (They have a big ass log, and a two sided saw, and the groom and bride go back and forth till they cut the log. Symbolising their relationship or something) It was really cool too see!

Similar to this shit:

We were on our way to the hotel bar, grabbin some drinks, when they moved the wedding party to the bar. We ended up taking pictures with the wedding party, went around and talked to people in our broken German. We ended up getting trashed with the wedding party and everything. Everyone was loving us Americans, teaching us drinking songs and what not. Definitely one of the better cultural memories from my 4 months abroad. Even the little kids drank! They have some drink where they mix sprite with a little bit of beer for youngins. It was so different than what you see here in the States.

Thats the only time i've "crashed" a wedding. I didnt get laid or anything, but it really was similar to what Wedding Crashers did. By the end of the night, everyone knew who we were (not cause we were hammered Americans, but because they were legitimately enjoying our company).
