Weather today wtf?

according to the website yeah. i really dont care, as long as they are open by the next weekend when im back

My friend who works there said yes.

And Ben, welcome to Montana. Most likely, a cold front will come one day and the temperature will fall 50 degrees in a matter of a few hours. Also I predict a foot of new snow in the valleys in mid June.

Yeah no kidding. Last year on Thanksgiving weekend Big Mountain had ZERO snow. They usually try to open Thanksgiving day; I have had epic pow days on Thanksgiving in years past. But last year it was as if mother nature forgot to snow through November, then made up for it and started puking snow from December through the end of the season. It's hard to predict the season from November weather.

Although I would appreciate a good dumping any day now...

it was really sunny is missoula for a while but not to unusual for here but there is a chance it will be a little late

well thank god it snowed today...
however this went down last year, everyone was in a panic (i work in big sky)... but right before opening we got 36 inches in 36 hours. then it started in with steady snowfall. hopefully it starts to pile up...
in any case, i'm leaving MT friday for breck/keystone... gotsta get some shreddage goin.
can't wait for our home mountain to open up though, they clear cut wayyyy more shit out of the dakota bowl, so those tree runs are gonna be epic, you can shred them way faster.
also, the jaywalk has been widened, and they made the grade a lot steeper. that means less pulling or skating for the snowboarders.
long story short. big sky made a lot of changes. they have a mini terrain park open at night with magic carpets accessing them, its gonna be where the ganjala was... they took it out this summer; leaving a huge bowl right under the lift line.
hope everyone has a good season.

mini park as in like, the swifty mini park? or like 2 inch high boxes and rollers mini park

So it's about 1:30 thursday evening. I got back to my house from the computer lab around 11:40 or so. When I was biking home it was cold as balls but there was no snow at all. Now there is about 3 INCHES in our lawn. I've been doin homework the whole time, and my roomate just got home and told me to look outside. SICK!!! Definitely gonna schralp in some way tomorrow!!!!!

When I left for school in Yarrshington, I trusted you people to carry on the necessary sacrifices to make the snow come early and deep. And I am very, very disappointed with your fitful efforts of lameness. I guess I have to do it all myself from now on.

we had a party at which we sacrificed snowboards in a raging bonfire.
turns out they burn really really fast. however, i dont think our sacrifice to the snow gods was drastic enough. good luck, i ran out of ideas.

You need virgins to do it properly. But this is Montana, so if you can't find any, I suppose I can send you some from WA.
