was at the indoor skatepark tonight some dude on a bike goes up the wallride forward and tries to come back down fakie but doesnt crank backwards to ride it out... basically like sticks to the wall and falls striaght back about 8-10 feet onto the back of his head...

it was insane... dude tried to stand up and made it about half way then just collapsed to back down to the ground... everyone stopped skating and just freaked and called 911 n shit... and before they get there he just turns into a lifeless blob on the ground...

well the paramedics finally get there they got him to come back around after like 15 minutes and he stood up and there was a huge pile of thick red blood and i mean huge... it was running all down his face and neck and shit...

at that point... i could no longer skate cause i was too freaked out so i basically wasted my money...

moral of story... helmets are good... i never wore one before but now im thinking of getting one for skiing...

you may look cool and hardcore without one but theres nothing cool about cracking your fucking skull... i just hope the dude made it he didnt look so well...
 
the way i see it, its just retarded not to wear a helmet, skiing biking whatever.

they dont even look bad anymore.
 
some helmets like the holt or the encore are even cooler then some touqes or I dont really like my helmet but throw some stickers on it its good to go
 
yeah its totally bad ass to not wear one then when your seriously concussed you can look even more BA by walking that shit off.
 
i don't wear helmets for the same reason i don't use condoms when i fuck South African whores, play Russian roulette, and fight Spanish bulls- it makes life EXCITING! why live when you can die in some freakish, exotic, headline-making way?!

I wear helmets because I have seen my cousin get 4 concussions, so yea, now i never hit rails or kickers without a helmet
 
there is absolutely no reason not to wear one. no matter how good you are you will eventually still fuck up your skull. the head is something you dont want to fuck with unless you are with a chick, but even if you are with a check you still want to wear a helmet for that shit. aids kills

I always wear a helmet and I don't quite understand why people still don't wear em...they aren't uncomfortable, they don't make you look like a tool, and they don't impede your skating or skiing or whatever you do...I personally don't wear any sort of padding other than helmets just because they are uncomfortable, they make you look like a tool, and they do make some motions harder but with how much a helmet can save you, and the fact that there is really nothing bad about wearing it, I would never skate without it...
 
ALWAYS wear a helmet, especially skiing and biking. ive had my life saved by them many times. a hundred bucks or so is a small price to pay to live to takke another run
 
i always wear one, it's senseless not to. and helmet designs get sicker every year, it's hard to look dumb with one these days, so why risk it?
 
i wear a helmet because ive had somewhere between 3 and 6 concussions, cant even remember, and if i get another i may end up retarded, or may not be cleared to ski, play lacrosse, football, etc. ever again.
