I'm not really sure what happened here. We came to Japan to powder test the 2013 "Bent Chetler" and "Access" models... We drank some sake and got a little off topic. Nonetheless both these skis exceeded expectations.
Both skis have Atomic's Powder Rocker design, which combines classic camber with a pronounced Rocker Shape at the ski tip (delivering stability and maximum lift in powder snow). Depending on the skier and intended use of the ski, the Bent Chetler offers a more pronounced curve at the tip AND tail (Pop Rocker), whilst the Access is considered a gradual Rocker - which I found perfect being used to the more conventional Active Camber design.
The reviewers; Luke Kneller is an ex-alpine racer turned park-monkey and preferred the Bent Chetler whilst Tim Myers is an ex-alpine racer turned big-mountain skier who preferred the Access. Though it did take Tim and Luke a whole week of swapping skis to finally work that out.
