Who can come up with the best/most creative jib of the season. Has to have video, and a skier must hit it. However I don't think it should matter on the trick they do on it. This will make it more of a jib contest then a skiing contest. I was thinking maybe from now to say may first? Maybe make this a sticky and just post the links to the vids all year. Then we can have a vote at the end.

Tell me what you think. and suppose I could provide a reward for the winner.
 
i like the idea of basing it one originality causes then even if u dont hav the best tools or most money u still have a fair chance.
 
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh boy! Now I can tell my mom "I have to build this intriqete and expensive 'Jib' so I can win the build a jib contest" Yea.... she'll totally be down for that but who cares. I'm in.
 
bumpage for a question: does it have to be something we actually make? Like if I had a cool way to jib my air conditioner, would that be something you could enter?
 
and how about still pictures. Cause I don't have a video camera that works too well. But I do have a camera
 
are you kidding ted? Make a roller coaster with pvc and wood you found in your backyard then talk. i mean really, a couch? who hasn't done that?
 
ya, I'd be down for any form of visual proof that it can be hit and that somebody actually did.
 
No it would have to be a vid, we need to see some one complete the jib. Pics are to easy to pose.

^nice. i think I will start a new thread for the contest soon. Maybe we should advertise the comp in Ski gabber as well? Would be handy if I were a leader.
 
Ok. as far as the contest goes, I say that it is only open to cult members. It is the most creative/unique jib like you said, not based on skier ability, but a skier has to hit it. Video OR a picture must document this. Multiple entries are allowed per person, and the best will be picked by whoever at the end of the year, or maybe voted on by the participants themselves
 
Yeah that was fucking sick and so original and creative but thats old. We should do one for this year with new stuff built for the contest.
 
i am in, i will see what i can cook up with my whales tail, flat rail, and 2 flat boxes, lets just say that will provide a interesting set up, also dont forget about my 30 foot table top, that could provide something intersting
 
I've got something cooking, but its a huge snow requirement. I'll give you a hint, when I'm done, I can drive the jib away and park it.
 
yah, can someone post a link to the rail that went into the pool vid? i saw it during the summer, but just searched for it and couldnt find it.
 
Yes, sorta. its a polaris ranger, its got a roll cage thats over 6 feet, we use it to haul my little 8 footer to various locations and then it him me. Its started already, theres a pile of snow, its not gonna cut it though, still need more for the kicker and then some form of landing.
 
Sorry man, I have 6" of sugar to work with right now, I have a waist high pile for the kicker, it needs to be 6 feet, and I've exhausted all my snow resources. Its gonna have to wait.
