We need powder.

One Problem. No Beacon. I know.. some of youguys may call me a pussy that I wouldnt go out there without a beacon... but I have had severaly seperate occasions where a beacon would have came much in handy.

Nevertheless.. There still needs to be more powder anyway. Im sick of rain.
 
It's good you realize you need a beacon in the bc, theres too many idiots that think they don't need them.
 
word, this weekend i took a wrong step looking at a line, and fuckin the whole cornice went down with me, it had a pretty knar crown, scary shit.
 
Yeah... I used to have a beacon.. It saved my life 2 times now... once skiing backcountry in Desolation Wilderness, me and some guys went up and tried to ski some of the crystal range, cornice just like the one you described fell and buried me. The avalung and the beacon saved my life, avalung gave me air for about 2 hours and my friends were able to locate me and unbury me.

woot. scary shit lol.
 
last I heard if it takes your buddies 2 hours to find you w/ a beacon you have absolutely no business near snow, let alone in the backcountry.
 
did your friends look dissapointed when finally got you dug out? they should have...they wanted you dead...should never take 2 hours..find new friends
 
alpine= 3ft. of fresh dry pow.....to bad there were a million people tracking it out. Still sick though. Should last too because of the cold temps.

Great for the snow... bad for my easily cold feet.

its 39 here and im inside. Yet. my feet are still ice.
