Alright, this is a question to everyone on this site who's been non stop bashing Bush. I'm not attacking you or anything, I'm just wondering...what do you believe in? I mean you all have made it very apparent that you're fighting against Bush, and that there are problems with this country, etc. But what are you fighting for? What is it that you actually propose to do instead of what Bush is doing? Most of you support Kerry. But he voted for the war, and his plans for Iraq don't involve pulling out troops any sooner than our current president Bush does.

I mean its great that you guys have your criticsms, like F911, and all of that. I've yet to see someone on this site actually give what they would do! Kerry's not really even running on anything aside from being against Bush. I mean thats fantastic and all...but what does he do once he's in office? Nobody has any idea because he doesn't have a solid platform. He's voted both ways on basically every issue.

So what would you do diferently? You all know you want to change something, but do you actually know what you would even change? I know some of you do, and I respect that, but I think a lot of you are just going with the flow.

what i believe in...

first if i were in the exact situation , say picking up where bush is now, i would give control that the US has in iraq over to the UN and other world groups and fund them to rebuild iraq. since we are at the point where the US has pissed off so many arabs, we need to get our views out of their and get organiztions like the UN,UNICEF, Red Cross, and education programs which are internationally supported in charge of rebuilding iraq and let them find away to implement developments from an independent council that is in the direct best interest for iraq, we have already done so much to destroy iraq from the war and any choice now that the US makes for a iraq is going to bring criticism so we need to instead take the funds which we would dispense through contracts and offer it up to the UN and let them make the choices on how to dispense it. also i would rethink the current tax cuts that bush has done in the past year. so places and agencies are being starved of funding such as our schools. i would also take back the no child left behind law. this law is a disaster. how it works if you dont know is that if a school does not meet national standards, then the students have the choice to attend a different public school and the money that would go to their original school per child goes to the other school therefore schools which rate the worst, lose students and end up losing more funding. that doesnt make sense to me. also i would do MUCH MUCH more about corporate scandals. for example it has been 3 years since the enron deal and Lay just got indicted and likely wont see prison time while if i sell pot to my best friend and a cop sees, under many current state laws i get a mandatory prison sentence yet these execs who stole millions from peoples pension funds who are left with no retirement are left nothing. also the environment, forget bush's connection to other oil countries but his connection in the US has been very anti environment. it is the truth that in our lifetimes we will see the the max able production of oil barrels peak and begin to drop which will ultimate lead to european pricing of gas such as $5 a gallon. the problem with bush and our current administration is that they recieve so much lobbyist fucnidng and money form automotive companies and oil companies that they have been extremely lax on alternative fuels and methods. I believe that all effort possible should be made to find more efficeint ways of energy and transportation. also i believe in a system of gun control. when many people hear 'gun control' they immediately get defensive and remind me of the right to bear arms but it is a fact that guns are a huge problem for violence in the US. we have 100 times more issues than other any other country. people who are against this are ignoring the truth. implement a system where ever bullet and every gun can be tracked so when there is a homicide, the bullet can be extracted and immediatle identified to a purchaser of the gun and if that person does not have that gun, they are held responsible for losing it/selling. finally we need to take care of our own country before we attempt trying to rearrange and help out another. if we are the richest country and the world and if so many people cant afford healthcare, obtain adequate education and recieve proper programs for job training, how are we able to do all these things in iraq?

Bush is a bad person and bad president.

Here is what I hope for: Controlled pull out of Iraq.

1. Release of documents involving Bush, 9/11, Cheney, Halliburton, the CIA, the previous weapons inspectors.

2. International apology for the invasion of Iraq and COMPENSATION FOR PARTIAL DAMAGES DONE TO THE PEOPLE OF IRAQ.

3. Prosecution of Cheney for his role in Halliburton's no-bid contracts.

4. Investigations into Rumsfeld and the torture. International apology for the justification of torture and a reciend of that law. (what a horrible thing the Bush admin did with that).

5.INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION. NO COUNTRY IS ABOVE THE PLANET EARTH AND AMERICANS ARE NOT THE BE ALL END ALL.

6. Form a true multinational task force financially but not physically (in any major way)backed by the US to maintain control of Iraq until a new gov't takes control (10 yrs or so).

7. Cooperation with Alan Greenspan and less tax breaks to the wealthy. It worked during Reagan's time but it isn't appropriate right now.

8. Kerry talks with substance. I was watching the news after the commission stated there were no WMD in Iraq and no ties between Iraq and Alqueda, then not 2 days later Bush was at a rally and said 'I invaded Iraq because there were ties between Iraq and Al-Queda and there were WMD.' WHAT?? Talking in circles.

9. Approach topics with intelligence and open-mindedness, not with religious beliefs and a closedmind. I.E. Bush with respect to abortion, other cultures, gay marriage, etc. These are important issues that need to be looked at from all sides and debated and an eventual solution found in a democratic way. Not through an all knowing, religious zealot telling us what is and isnt right. This is a democracy, our founding fathers wanted to keep religioun out of politics because they recognized that it leads to tyranny.

10. Re-look at our national resources and a recinding of Bush's anti-resource laws. (oil drilling, paving and destroying national forrests)

11. Reallocation of national budget to such things as Welfare (important!) and education.

12. No more lying and bullying.
