americans aren't the only ones who care about more than one sport. canada has an nba basketball team, a couple baseball teams, and its own football league. and the superbowl is the second most watched television show ever behind a MASH episode.

the superbowl and world cup are hard to compare because one is annual, and one is every 4 years. If i had to guess, i would definitely say the World Cup. So many more people are interesting in it than in the superbowl.

Oh, and i think the most watched television event was the first moon landing, apollo 11. Supposedly at least 600 million people watched it live.
 
yeah , only euro fags play soccer...and most of South America...and eastern Europe...and even poverty stricken Africa plays soccer. It's just funny how you americans try SO hard to be different than other countries. ok fair enough, you dont like soccer, but dont call it a real sport when some of the shittiest sports (eg, baseball) are your national sports.

do you mean just the final, or the whole thing? Thats why its hard to compare all of these events. More than a billion people may have watched the world cup, but that might have been spread out over the course of 1 month, instead of 1 evening like the superbowl or moon landings
 
I'm fairly sure the count is around 1-2 billion for just the final with over 3 billion watching the whole thing. So it's quite a lot.

We are talking about sports here where Canada as a whole doesn't care about baseball, American football or basketball. So yes we are so much different in that respect.

why do you think you know canada so well, you live thousands of miles away. torronto has both an mlb team and an nba team. canadians are pretty much the same as americans, but less cocky.

I know, football is the most played sport in Canada and is probably the second most watched behind hockey. I'm not sure how you can judge American Football to be the second most ''popular'', based on what?
