The whole 'mountians are gonna disappear' thing is BS, some mountains will shrink and some new ones will form. This is due to plate tectonics, most mountain ranges form where the earths plates border eachother and others because of volcanic activity. Too paranoid, it won't matter when you're dead anyway.

well I just got snow at my house 42 earlier then the previous record. global warming is not going to have any problems. glaciers have been melting for ever. sometimes it gets hot for a while then cold. its just a conspiracy

co2 levels are up 25% since they started taking measurements in hawaii 150 years ago. temps are up everywhere as well and by every scientists estimate, going to be going up ever faster. enjoy the skiing now

global warming isnt nesisarly just warming its basicly just weaking the stablility of our plants climate because its fucking up our atmophere. So the tempature isnt gonna stedaly rise to where it never goes below freezing. Eventully tho we will have way hotter summers and way colder winters then normally

Don't necesarilly believe what you're told. I believe the earth is much stronger than many environmentalists paint it as. I'm a firm believer that were are amidst cycles that have been taking effect for thousands of years. Not even the top global warming scientists and advocasts can say for certain that global warming is happening (true.), so why should we?

How was Yosemite formed? It was carved from ice, from glaciers that were in place thousands (or millions if that's what you believe). Interesting enough, the glaciers have long been melted. Long before we had cars and chemicals to pollute the air. What caused it to melt? Global warming? Maybe. But is it so hard to grasp that just maybe it's cycles that have been taking place long since we have recorded temperatures?

The world may never know.

Besides that, global temps may have risen in the past few years, and we've had the technology to measure global temps for what? The past 50 years maybe? So who's to say what temps have been doing for the 4950 or so years before that?

I know that last year was one of the coldest winters on record in Tennessee, and my hill was 100% open faster than ever before and stayed that way for the entire season.

Well i dunno but when I was a kid we had a winter when there was 10 feet of snow IN TOWN. Driving your car was like driving in tunnels... it was crazy. Alot of people were snowed in (temporarily... my city is very well prepared for snow). Two winters ago i was worried that I was gonna look out the window on christmas day and still see grass. It might be global warming or it might be cycles, because it's been snowing alot close to my city (not in yet... but who cares as long as it hits the mountains?). Maybe it's a combination of both.

as is almost always the case here... with the exception of everyones buddy ghostdragon, though i tend to try not to... at least not use the term belief... you know. but anyway, the big picture is not where the snowfalls, its how the cycles of the earth work. yes its resilient, but who says the cycles give two shits about us, the changes could make earth uninhabitable... long shot yes. but still, the changes were ARE making ( you think theres no consequence to global 24 hour burning of this and that chemical?) are changing ecosystems, weather patterns, soil coinsistencies... a lot of shit. if certain animals start dying, its bad for all of us. weatrher patterns changing could turn the entire midwest into a desert... then where do we grow our food? think of the costs of moving our ENTIRE food productino system north... irrigation, land division... theres a lot to it. i cant comprehend people just discounting the condition of the planet we live on. its like living in a meth lab... not so safe. peace.
