I went down another rabbit hole tonight. Started by an honest interest in the finances of a nonprofit and quickly spiraled out of control. Turns out propublica has tax returns on literally every nonprofit so you can see the salary of all the execs. The people at my hospital are compensated much better than I presumed.

They also have articles explaining how many of the billionaires of America pay less taxes than all of us. Fucking wild some of these strategies. The media always talks about this stuff but never really goes into detail before the interest fizzles out.

If the IRS and congress ever decided to close these bs loopholes, we might not be discussing a debt ceiling every 6 months. Also the government's decifit spending is just a stupid strategy.

Rant over but we're all plebs. Or sheep. Is there a difference?
 
The layers are wild. There’s so many ways to game the system. Create a charity, donate to the charity, write it off. Meanwhile, the charity is pushing agenda favorable to you because you funded it and started it.

Take out loans against your stock. Pay 1% interest on the loan. No taxes. It’s crazy how they do it. It’s all a big game.

What do you mean pay less in taxes? Skirt income via investment in business like any other business owner regardless of class? Fact of the matter is the tax contributions from the upper class and above absolutely dwarf anything from the lower and middle classes already by a large margin.

Own a business then complain about how little someone else gets taxed lol

I genuinely find it funny how many people complain about billionaires and millionaires not paying "their fair share in taxes" yet they work for these people.

The top1% of earners paying only 43% of total income tax isn't ENOUGH!

We need to pay the government more money so they can use it to hand away to UKRAINE and to fund more military equipment to start more wars!

I'm older now but in my early 20s any time I'd meet or interact with legit rich people out of college they all worked for their parents/families 'charities' or non profits. 80 cents on the dollar of a donation goes into the pocket of the rich people who started these things while 20 goes towards their 'cause.

Paypal and spacex. Also he made Tesla what it is today. Not sure if it’s still the case but at one point they were valued higher than the rest of the automotive industry combined and he is the man that got them there…

I will never deny musks business acumen, as much as I don't like most of his schtick (whether it be his reddit arc or his conservative arc) he has a pretty good track record when it comes to where to put money, for the most part.

But to say he "Founded a ton of businesses" ...it doesn't seem to be the case.

To my knowledge paypal was a merger between two companies, one of which Musk was a founder of. After the merger musk was replaced.

In regards to tesla-He did amazing things revitalizing it and popularizing the electric car. The most impressive of part of Tesla is probably the charging network and less so the cars that have increasingly poor production. When it comes to the market share, it seems like it's the equivalent of gme, dogecoin, etc. etc. Does not follow the usual fundamentals. And is overvalued. Follows some weird fundamentals, so I guess it still works.In my skeptical and biased world, tesla doesn't survive 40-60% investment in EV's from volvo, bmw, ford, etc. etc.

First adopter advantage only last so long before the economics of scale takes over. But who knows, tesla could win out.

SpaceX is cool, but doesn't it get 75% + of its funding from the federal government?? At that point it's basically a federal agency. I like big ships though and they deserve the fed dollars.

I like billionaires about as much as politicians. Not a lot. Musk is also cringe and went from cucking to Redditors to cucking to Twitter users so my musk seething is core to my being at this point. Those are the two worst groups of people after NSers. Buddy just wants attention and is the tech version of a Kardashian.

Tldr, the companies are alright, dude acts like a dipshit and get's worshipped by the biggest "pick me" cucks on the planet whether they be reddit lefty or twitter rightoid

Not on the Elon train and never was. Trying to be objective here. I was just pointing out that his choices are a big part of how he got to where he is today. He was privileged but privilege isn't a guarantee for success of this magnitude. Now he's just like any of us not being fake and doing whatever he wants because he can without giving a shit. Now him being a shit hole to his employees, yeah that's fucked up, but also consider he's just being public about it. Plenty other ceos the same way, just don't make the news.

I embellished a bit. That was really my only point. Yes he's a d bag. He's also intelligent. Those things are not mutually exclusive. But thank you for saying that about tesla. Fucking nuts the market cap they have.
 
People need to look at Tesla 10-K. It’s a fucking joke dependent on government subsidies and market speculation

Unless they start making cheaper models I don't understand how they expect to be competitive in the non-luxury market. Those subsidies will eventually end once EVs are more widespread. All the big automakers are shuttling billions into development of their EV lines and either retooling or adding additional infrastructure. Meanwhile tesla raised prices of vehicles lol

Reclasifying an employee as an independent contractor is so common and little is done about it. Employers who do this should be executed.
 
The debt ceiling doesn't exist. How can a trading corporation chartered as a 'Republic' ie. charter corporation which in its charter is SELF-FUNDING be indebted to itself? Just write it off on a different account book. The founders knew this. That's how they were able to fund the 'Revolutionary' war.

Oh wait, the Federal Reserve chartered by Congress somehow controls congress and we have to pay interest payments with our labor. Who owns FED? Who started the FED? hmmmm, Warburg, hmmmm, Seligmann, hmmmm, teachers unions, hmmmmm, plebs. We bent over backwards and the ruling class stuck their boom and bust in our asses.

Good thing 4 trillion dollars in wages was stolen from the middle class during the manufactured syndemic and 4 trillion gained by the billionaire class to prevent the global repo bust.
