WE A Collection of Individuals Review!

So the movie for one has a completely different vibe than anything PBP has made in the past. That is for the better in this case. It is very cinematic and the vibe given off from each individual riders segment is amazing. You get a clear idea of the image the guys were trying to capture from each segment as they go by. As for the skiing it is incredible. Leigh Powis's segment changed urban skiing with inverted wall rides and other absolutely nutty shit. The opening park segment is hectic and filled with a ton of riders pushing it at some crazy park shoots. The Kids concept has a segment which is great. There are multiple seggys with Stept riders and the Legs of Steel crew have a segment along with all the insane individual segments like Karl Fostvedt's, Pep Fujas's, and Dane Tudors. The cinematography is great and is much much different from other poor boyz productions. It feels more raw then before and they do a lot of experimentation with stuff like urban cable cams and such. The movie really flows together, the segments go right one into each other without any pause or transition really the movie feels like one complete piece rather than a bunch of segments with awkwardly placed pauses in between. I dont know how to describe everything just because it is still setting in but Poor Boyz killed it this year after 2 years of sub-par productions. I would even go as to say it is on par with EDIAS but that is my opinion and they are not similar movies in any respect. The premier PBP put on was much better than years past and Johnny must be very stoked on that response! Everyone should see this movie it is well worth a watch or 10.

im not really surprised. with the stacked crew they have up to date, it would be almost hard to make a bad or even descent movie

Danes segment had some really sick shots, like 7s in AK and whatnot, but I think I was expecting some backcountry switch triples or something. Also they reused some breck shots from that early season edit. All the stept boys killed it, Karl slayed, and the rest of the movie was pretty good too. Two thumbs up

It was great! The shit he does on that huge quarter pipe shit was ridiculous. He was saying it was about 30 feet tall. Tons of crazy urban, and just his style was so awesome!

Honestly if you haven't seen this you cant understand. GB and Revolver are destroyed in terms of quality in the first 5 minutes of WE.

To tell the truth, not tryin to hate or anything, but I really did not like it that much. They used too many instrumentals and rock music. It just didn't flow for me. The biggest mistake of the entire movie doe was using a rock song in Dane's segment. SMH

the last thing dane had was a rock song in his segment; not quite sure what movie you were watching, not even sure if you have even seen the movie?

if you go on itunes you can preorder it already! it will be ready on sep 11.

also run time is 54:36 says itunes

can't find a url for it, but go to the movies section and select "pre-order movies" and its on the front page

i thought the first section sucked. But then Pep comes in for the rescue. Pep established himself as one of the strongest freeriders out there. His line dominance rivals candide. He is on very high level when it comes to charging lines. The last line in his section is insane--crazy sluff and exposure and gnar and he skis it perfectly. I thought Riley, Joe and Henitiuk had a good section. Some BC creativity and some nice shots. Stack and Charlie definitely entertained again and some solid switch pow as always. Dane crushed it and had some nice BC doubles and a couple of really strong natural 7s--really showed his strength when setting bigger spins out of the pow, without a lip. That shit is hard. Dane has always been a stronger sledder and you get to see his talents on the machine a bit. He hits a solid 50 footer which would be getting some props from the slednecks for sure. I want to see him get a full sled segment one of these years. Clayton Vila also had a super creative good section. Gangster song too. Leigh was creative as hell and good song choice with Morrison. Sean P gets closing and he crushes it. Its hard to know who's the better skier out of him, Dane and Pep as they all crush deadly lines, but Sean's closing shot really blew me away. He stomps a gnarly big 3 into like 500 vert of huge power slashes then rips another huge big 3 out the bottom. Definitely a lot of strength and confidence.

Overall, movie was really good. A bit too much talking for me, about the crew and friends and all that, but I guess they have to tell a story or whatever to be competitive, and you do get a perspective on how each rider thinks about skiing with others. Some of them thrive on the 'crew' mentality, and others just like doing their own thing, but know that their homies are out there doing their own gnarly shit and that is enough to inspire them. I guess that's what they were trying to get across and it works.

editing quality was good. some crazy slow mo right in the middle of the shots.

the credits have some good shit too, so watch till the end.

such a sick movie… and i really need to figure this out... what was the song that played at the very beginning?

It was soo awesome and very fast paced. The intro had all the skiers throwing dubs and bobby throwing a triple. It set the standard for the movie & everyone's parts were very on par and the soundtrack was never lulling. 10/10 for PBP

Staying up til midnight to buy it on itunes and watch for sure. I don't even care I have to get up at 530

People hyped up the grand bizare and it wasnt THAT good. Hopefully this is a change from the typical PBP movie. Their last movie that i actually loved was EDIAS.
