WD-58H wide-angle

I need to buy a wide angle/fisheye for my GL2. Do you think I should go with more distortion than .7? I'm going to be using it for shooting rails and standing on deck. If anyone has used a WD-58H lens I would like to know how you like it. Thanks!

0.7 is the magnification, not distortion, and won't give you a huge difference than no lens. I'd say get a decent 0.3 lens and then if that's too wide yu can zoom in. The maximum zoom I have on my GL1 with Raynox 0.3 lens looks the same as the minimum zoom without the lens (if you can follow that).

zooming on wideangles/fisheyes makes the picture look worse then without the lens. go with a .4-.5 they are perfect to get everything in your shot. with .3 (fisheye) you have to follow really closely and you obviously get the fisheye skate vid look. id say .42x if i were you
