Hey there NS. I'm planning on travelling to Mount Hood for the event in the next few weeks. If anybody is looking to split a place for that one week, do let me know. Looking for somebody who's decently reliable/mellow to hang out with. If you're interested, send me a PM! Thanks NS

Camping is really the way to go, and finding someone's house you can shower at. Trillium is looking good but it may be raining/snowing in Govy this week so it might be cold to camp up here. Down the Salmon River Road there is free camping, at the end of that area. But you just gotta respect the space, there's been major issues with trash in the past few years.

Camping down the mountain will be warmer, you just need a solid tarp or two.

East towards Hood River there's a few spots too that I know people camp at this time of year.

Or...play that roulette game and post at the bar til last call. Maybe you'll be the lucky guy to take home the only girl in Govy without a man.

Good advice here fam. I plan on going down by myself, and since I don't know anybody personally who's hitting Hood during that week it does make solo camping a bit more tricky. Definitely a consideration though, especially since it has been hard to find a decent place that isn't outrageously expensive, since the Canadian dollar is so poor currently and the Hood selection is limited

Anybody have a driveway I could set up on to car camp? I will literally pay you

You can car camp in any snow park pull out off the highway...they don't require permits after May 1st. You can also car camp in the Timberline parking lot or at the airfield or basically anywhere.

My driveway is over 80 miles from the event. Like the others said you are better off to camp up on the mountain. If you want to pay there are campgrounds with nice showers and rec-centers.
