i've been noticing that everybody wants Ray Ban Wayfarers now. Thanks to smooth product placement (Jonas Brothers cough) a lot of people have seen them and think they are awsome. Now rewind a couple months. not a lot of people gave a shit about them.

Kidna like frogskins. people see pros repping them and think they are sick.

what do you guys think
 
the 80s is so hot right now..

not going to lie though, I rock the frogskins we sell at work all the time.. the glow in the dark ones are so choice.
 
dude my dad has worn wayfarers since like 78 haha. Its funny because his sunglasses are the same in every picture for a solid thirty years.
 
yea i have medium sized tortoise shell wayfarers, not those big ones but blues brothers sized

my dad bought a pair but some one stole them from his car, they were prescription so kinda usless to however stole them.
 
whats funny is that oakley wants like 200 for frogskins when you can buy the original ray ban wayfarers for like 50.
 
that's what i have too..

and i don't think it was the jonas brothers who brought the wayfarers back to the masses, i say more of the fashion industry and all the models all of a sudden rocking them.

 
all i can say is that ray-ban aviators will never go out of style, i own two pair of original ones an they'll never die
 
i've been plannin on gettin some wayfarers and putting prescription lenses in for a while now...i need to finally do it.

and yeah oakley kinda just took the design from rayban.

You guys hoping on this bandwagon being run by the big companies. Just go out and buy a $15 pair, not even knock offs of Oakley, just models like them. and to the thread creator, I don't know where you got the Jonahs Brothers and bringing them back idea from. We've been wearing glasses like these since last summer, Kr3w and Airblaster released pairs like them, for under 30 bucks.

I buy the 15 dollar pairs, work for me, and if I break them, just go out and buy another pair.

i started wearing wayfarers a long as time ago

now every kid at my school has them or some sort of knockoff and i apparently didn't start this trend

dude i had wanted wayfarers since like the age of five, and one day i got them perscription and all and i wore them everyday of my life to school w/e and hen like less than a week ago i was swimming on a big creek right below a waterfall where the water is really fast and somehow they got knocked/fell off the log. I will never be the same man unless i get another pair.

i have some cheap ass wayfarers and i just painted them with krylon spraipaint now there pimp as hell ha neon pink with yellow splatterrr
 
i bought some wayferers for 8 bucks, obviously not name brand ones.

i dont need to spend 100+ on glasses. i get compliments on mine all the time too.

 
K this might sound stupid, infact it will sound stupid but i cant find the frogskins on the Oakley site, or anywhere else but ebay. Can somebody link me (+karma)

OH WAYTTTT! news flash, the parent company which has owned ray ban since the late 90's bought out oakley last fall

but i still refuse to wear oakley's but i do have some sick ass wayfarers and aviators too

 
I don't get why Wayfarers style glasses got hot all of the sudden. I've been rocking sunglasses like that forever. Its the only kind of sunglasses i wear. I just like the Frogskins for all the different colors.
