If you're not racing all purpose hotwax will most certainly do the trick. It's easy to apply and easy to scrape off....I like swix as well b/c it's reasonably priced. If you're not racing you don't need to be very particular about your waxing. I would NOT use the paste.....that's my only suggestion.
Purl wax. $5 at www.purlracing.com and one brick lasts all year. The stuff is money. Made for boardercross racers and freeriders because it accellerates quickly, handles jumps and helps maintain speed on varried terrain. Perfect for poor skiers who take care of their gear.
'Tell me one thing you're gonna need this stupid fucking rope for!'
Higher the 'Hydrocarbon' content the better. A;so the more expensive, but that's the main ingredent that makes the snow slide faster on your base, bascly.
Toko, you can get it high floronatated or not, whatever your budget allows. Its how you prepare the wax not what type of wax is what makes your skis fast.
ive used PURL forever..the shit kicks ass..and i did my science project on PURL wax too..i kind of just used the info from the site but oh well..purl's the shit
