Waxing rails???

its not necessary...i may reccomend painting them, so they dont rust...

metal rails no! wooden rails maybe....don't know what you're doing sliding wooden rails.

we do at my hill and believe u me it does make a difference. it makes it slide a lot smoother cuz without it a rail might get a little sticky.

 
just paint the rail, it works the best, and it keeps em from rusting and it makes em fast

we use any kinda wax we can get our hands on. most of the time tho its just ski wax that we gank from the tech bench. but any kind will work. just use perrefin wax. just a big white block thats real cheap and u can get it almost anywhere.

paint then wax after there is a significant amount of paint taken off from jibbing, but it is a lot easier to just wax it. use phantom wax (skateshop) the blue colored metal formula, but don't use that kind on any but metal because it will be messed up, but on metal its the slickestt mfer

 
You could try painting the rail. Different Colors will afffect the way you slide the rails -its a proven fact.

Red paint = Fast

Blue paint = Smooth

Pink = Faggot

Yellow = Stylin'

if you paint a rainbow rail multi-colored a door way to another dimension will open up upon a sucessfull slide

What about PVC rails boys????? They are sweet if you can get them filled with a little smaller of a metal rail. And you can slide them hella long! But metal is the way to go, i ain't no pussy or nothing.

well sorry i din't have any advice and i thought of that and laughed and decided why the hell not and posted it. but i am building one of mauii's plexiglass rails in my driveway and does anyone know if i need to wax the plexiglass? sounds weird but i don't know.

yeah pvc is where i cut the line. Is your plexiglass 'rail' really a box though cause that would be tight.

the accually rail is a 2 x 2 piece of metal track covering a 2 x 2 piece of wood, i still have to put side boards on it and paint it

it took me 2 days i worked but only like 4 hours of work total, the only hard part is figuring out the agnle of the wood so itll get to the ground at the right point, it is one case were trig would have helped but it was in the middle of the summer and i comletely forgot all math
