...Accuweather.com is pegging the cold on Tuesday as having potential for major snow squalls with accumulations of a foot or more for Great Lakes areas.

They specifically mention areas downwind of Lakes Erie and Ontario.

And the pattern is favoring prolonged cold for the next 3+ weeks as well. We may have an awesome start to this season.

Cross the fingers!

north of lake O has negative nights the entire next week, toronto is an avg. of +/- 0 for the low all next week, and then st. catharines, south of the lake, hits the negatives only once.

Regardless we can hope......

wow, the only thing is accuweather seems to be optimistic when it comes to amount of snow

NOAA.gov and the local meterologists are forecasting lake effect snow will occur, but they aren't willing to commit to possible snowfall totals yet, but they are hinting that conditions are going to be present for very strong bands.

anybody see snow? Im a little north of this, but i can look out my window and see some dark ass clouds south of buffalo. My weatherbug on my computer is saying that its snowing right now in buffalo, but I want some pics. However I did see a car this morning in a parking lot with about an inch of slush and ice build up on its grill.

Snow down here in East Aurora. Maybe an inch tops right now. Keeps getting real heavy, then stops and gets sunny.
