Wax kit? +kkkk

hey guys

im looking for like a wax kit

one that comes with all the stuff you need to wax and tune skis

sharpener, iron, cleaner, scraper, brush, ect.

im hoping to open up a small business and wax skis for all my friends and make some decent money off of it

if u guys could drop me some links for some kits online ill definatly throw some karma ur way

I have a toko 800W iron, i use toko wax, i have a plexi scraper, an edge sharpener (if you want to tune many skis, i suggest you get a sharpener thats rollered, that runs on little wheels, these are the best, and i have candle sticks, further, you need a brush, get one thats half nylon, half copper, and thats about it, just add a piece of sandpaper and a lighter and your ready to go on a skitrip, you have everything to wax and tune your skis

so short list:

Waxing= Iron, Wax, plexi scraper, double brush

Tuning= edge sharpener (get one that runs on lil wheels), sandpaper and maybe one of those spongy things to break of the brims after sharpening(don't know what its called...

and for repair, candlesticks and a lighter, maybe a small tube of silicone or something to fill up topsheet damage....

if you don't want to wait for the 1 deal at a time sites, just go to www.backcountry.com , www.rei.com, www.untracked.com, or any other sites like porters at tahoe and just search around for wax kits and you'll be set.

^ beat me too it, I know if you search back country there are a bunch on there. Also google it, I was looking the other day for a kit and saw a couple just dont remember the site. Make sure you get the stuff that takes the wax off too. Also check Swix website they may have links and irons. good luck man

i'd suggest one of the burton/dakine/bakoda/svst $30ish irons they have set temps very important for waxing skis if not very experienced, next couple good plastic scrapers, some online shops have their own like reliabe racing, those are fine and cheap. pick up a good brass brush swix, toko, and holmenkol make some of the best, and some scotchbrite scour pads for final passes.

dont cheap out! i highly recomend you get a toko iron, holmikoln(not how its spelled just sound it out) brushes, swix wax, and beast sharpening tools. if you really want to get into waxing, your gonna have to spend a good amount, and learn how to wax well before you do it for others, you can fuck up thier gear if you dont know how
