Wavy Lines - Computer Whiz needed

Long story short, computer crashed. Replaced some hardware on it, reloaded XP on it and now ive only got one problem. Whenever i scroll up or down when a window is open it doesnt go fluidly/smoothly... the pages are all wavy and slow shifting.

Ive checked tons of forums, played with the reg keys, checked the box in IE that says smooth scroll and nothing. Any computer whiz's here that can at least address the issue?

its not video hardware its a software issue. you must have not reinstalled your video drivers.

go to the site and download the newest video drivers.

if you have an nvidia card (gforce, TNT, Quadro, or integrated nforce mobo) go to http://nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

If you have an ATI card (Radeon, All in Wonder,FireGL)

download the new catalyst drivers at http://ati.com/home/online/CatalystCCCdriver.html

if you dont have a card from either of these manufacturers replace it with one cause their the only companies that have decent cards.

 
^That's what I was going to say...reinstall your video drivers with the most up to date drivers.

install latest radeon updates, direct x updates and use the buttons on your screen to deguass your monitor

Well i dont have rich parents to update my computer every other week whenever a new card comes out. My computer is for utility, not for useless games. Ill try that driver, hopefully itll do the trick... thanks.

try screwing around with your mouses scrolling properties...sometimes that works for me
