Wats usually the first mt to open?

yea h/o lemme get the list, in order of openings with dates. But only because its july and we know all that...obviously.

mammoth opened in october 2 years ago and it usually opens late october to early november, i think the date they are planning on is november 9th

ya, except for the fact that there was no base... and on every turn you hit a rock. Other than that yes, i agree it was fun.

Haha that reminds me of when that happened at our mountain. It was the only powder run I took all year because of work. We hiked up the backside off some road (the snow was just past the knees) and the ski down was almost to our waists. Granted we where skiing on grass, it still went haha. Oh and they just groomed the park (nothing up yet) so we bombed down that and through some more powder at the bottom. When we reached that we where cruising so we just floated over the powder. Man that was one of the best runs I've had.

yeah loveland opens like mid-october I think. They usually have a rail jam opening day too. They are definitley open before halloween. They're usually the first in CO at least.

im gonna say loveland. a basin usually seems to be able to open pretty early too. i remeber a couple of yrs ago brighton opend on halloween with like an 80" base and an insane powder day with everything open.

timberline closes in september. they dont get new snow until november. mt bachelor, oregon is usually the first resort in oregon to open and they usually open in mid november.

it closes, and hood does too for like 2 weeks, but damn skiing in early october on mt hood is sketch ball. Its not on a glacier, so that snowfield is almost gone by that time.

and loveland seems to open so damn early. Its usually like 70 degrees and sunny here, and of course loveland has 2 feet. Utah seems to get a fair amount of snow in september, but nothing substantial.

i skied wildcat on october 29th last year, im sure that was one of the few tiems you could ski the old liftline all season, for sure tho, there was so much fuckin snowwwwwww
