Yea i wonder the same thing. People always say that its imposible, but if a wakeboarder can do why can't a skier???

shaun murray did a backflip on water skis, so it's possible. They have trick skis too, but usually old people do it for shows and stuff.

my bro is into it.I had to quit.The Junior World Cup was this past november and Spain got 3rd!!My bro is in the team,he jumps some 54 meters,has buoys at 11 meters, and knows 4 diferent backflips.He would be such a kickass skier...He is my idol.

and yeah, they have competitions to see how far a water skier can stay airbourne. it's pretty extreme actually, i have a video with it.

i got to jump 30 meters...but i sucked at tricks.

Slalom was alright...my shortest rope was 14.

im allright, i dont waterski too much, because my boat throws too big of a wake, but when im with a friend that has a ski boat i water ski oonce in a while, im not te best, i can cut pretty hard tho, im gonna run the course on my lake a bunch this year

when i was at high north chris turpin was talking about trying to make waterskiing, kinda like newschool skiing, he was gonna maybe cut a wakeboard in half and put some kinda bindings on it, he said before summer was over he was gonna do a slider on waterskis

yea man o brien makes some sweet ass twin tipped water skis, plus they are wider throughout the whole ski than normal waterskis so they are easier to do tricks on the water with, I wanna try some this summer.

Obrien's are sweet,i love the Andy mapple series.They are my favorite.And their ski jumps are pretty sweet too.For tricks i had the shittiest one out there,but i still managed to pull 3 off the wake with them and have fun.My best was a 5.And there's two kids from the Czech Repoublic that are soooo gooood.They pull sick shit.I was amazed when i first saw them.

he jumps 5o ish ,has 3500 (i think) and has a registered mark of 5 buoys at 12 meters.He usually gets to 11 now.

canadians own at everything now. our young kids are so good. i trick 4000ish, got 3 flips, 5 some days cant jump because of my knees, and slalom shitty cause i dont do it that much

I waterski newschool. You have to set your boat up to get a decent wake, then you can get some ok height. I can wakeboard, but I prefer waterskiing... I did a double lincoln on a 12 foot riser pole and a deep stern boat my cousin's friend had. Didn't land it, but hell, water just doesn't hurt as much as snow. Spins are hard as shit though, a 3 is MUCH harder than a back cause of the rope. Or maybe I just can't handle the rope well enough.

I'm trying to find a way to make water twins...it should be sweet if i can do it. I can make switch skis just by mounting the 'bindings' backwards, but it's kinda boring, and it hurts my arms.

it looks pretty hard and gay ....im good with wakeboarding, wake surfin', and wakeskatin but i have respect for all you waterskiers.....ive seen a guy try a back on trick skis....it looked pretty mexican

if you cut the board in half, make sure you put something on the edge that you cut, or the foam inside will get wet, and the board will die.

uh, you could get a good deal on boards. Like a guy I know (who just happens to be sponsored by hyperlite) is selling me two boards that could still be used for a season for $50. Ebay works too. I got a brand new, extremely nice board for $65. Not all boards are $300. Bindings are a different story though.
