Waterproofing jeans??? OH SHIT!

ok, so im gonna be skiing in jeans sometimes because im gay and tight pants make me happy. does anyone have any idea as to what i can use to waterproof them to some extent? clearly im not expecting to get some sort of legit waterproof like a legit fabric, but some sort of spray on jazz that will make them at least water resistant.

so hook me up with your ideas son so i can look like the man while all you crazies are hanging out in your pants that are bigger than your garage.

RIP IT UP SOMETHING FIERCE!

so maybe i am emo and dont want to get blood on my ski pants from cutting my wrists. so fucking what. im gonna go listen to the cure and cap'n jazz and cry about the countless unjustices in the world.

pshh magne cum laude my ass.

analog makes a pair of jeans with a liner that iw waterproof. maybe pick those up and use the liner because it is zip out., so just put that in yo pants and you should be set. thats tight youre rocking tight pants. look into holden outerwear as well. they make tight riding pants.

yeah, i got some airblaster pants that are cut pretty slim and some holdens that are slimmer, but id like to go straight to town and wear some of my old stretch jeans with holes in em to ski in...basically the least practical thing anyone could have for skiing. so hopefully theres something out there that can make my dream become a reality!!! HOORAY FOR INVENTIONS LIKE DOC BROWNS TIME MACHINE!

holden is just made to be regular fitting, not a slim fit like most people are lead to think. mission six has the tightest fitting snow pants, with waterproof ratings up to 15k. quicksilver has some super tight pants called teh "black hole" for $140.

scotch guard your jeans. nima jalali rides extensively in levis 504s with scotch guard. it really does work well.

Motorcycle leather wax will do a reasonable job on jeans but you have to be careful not to over apply or it gets sticky.

What about wearing some cheap waterproofs underneath? You could probably get some lined ones for nothing. If you had the time you could match the holes in your jeans and stitch them up..

Analog's "waterproof jeans" aren't waterproof.

I think your best bet is to get some used ski pants and attach them to the inside of jeans, then spray the jeans with DWR. I don't know what will happen, but it might work?

ive just washed my jacket after some pretty heavy mcdonalds stains, it went in a hot wash cos it wasnt coming out. will scotchguard re waterproof it for me or would it need a more suited product like nikwax???

I used to be into the whole tight clothes emo thing, I still like alot of that style music, but damn... now that I'm out of dressing that way, pants that fit loose are so much more comfy, but it's cool that you're bringing your style to the hill, it's unique and we need more indiviuals instead of every park rat looking like a carbon copy of every other park rat, who actaully looks like a rapper to begin with. Boring.

Cap'n Jazzzzz is sooooo sweet.

Ummm, maybe try some teflon coating, it would be toxic, shards would posion you, but sliding rails on those pants would be gnarly

clearly you have never skied in the midwest. But the store Cabela's has this water proofing spray that I used for my duck hunting jacket. worked pretty nice in rain. Check out their website www.cabelas.com Or just head over to a sporting goods store. Way to break the norm, i like that.

A skier who is nice, friendly, laid back, and skis really smoothly. Wears tight pants, and listens to "emo" (or what you kids like to call emo these days). will ALWAYS be cooler than some shit talking kids who spend their time on the hill bitching about style.

Seriously it's skiing, it's more fun to drop the attititude and just ski.

to all the supporters, you guys rule and ill be handing out high fives to the lot of you. and to the haters, high fives to you too because everyone deserves a high five...but you wont get nearly as nice of one as the other folks.

and i dont really listen to emo all that much, i just dont like baggy clothes. although i dont listen to flip mode squad and lox, so i suppose that does qualify me as emo. but yes, cap'n jazz is sweet...so is the cure, so are the beatles, so is the velvet underground, so is iron maiden, so are the minders, so is dinosaur jr, so is the brian jonestown massacre, so is oasis...people really need to stop associating musical taste with pants. its kinda goofy.

just curious but wouldnt the holes in the jeans kind of counteract the process of waterproofing the pants? i know the waterproofing will help the jeans not be soaked by the end of the day but maybe look into waterproofing a pair of pants that arent quite as worn out.

and any chance youll be selling your current suit(at least the ones in your pics) any time soon? anyways rock on dude

o'neil makes the sickest water proof jeans/ snowpants ever, they are 100 % water proof, and look like normal jeans, plus they have removable liners, they are actually probly the best snow pants made. They only cost like 150 bucks. We have a pair in the shop and it is impossible to get them wet, we even sprayed them with hose, and they fit over boots perfectly, they are really cool.

wait i gotta tell you something

keep scroolin

keep going

keep on going

why tight jeans omg no one wants to see ur ass nd shit yo that gross ahhhhhhhh

dont diss the tight pants i dont wear um but know alot of people that do and theres this badass snowboarder at winter park that wears tight pants and he fucking kills it so anyway its tough to waterproof denim try scotchgard but idont know how long it will last or if it works

yeah, i dont know if im gonna actually wear jeans with holes in them. thatd be a full on genius idea though. just trust me on that one.

i am planning on selling the red camo oakley joint, sz l jacket, xl pants, so if any of you sweet thangs are diggin on it, by all means let me know.

and im gonna have to go to town on the nixwax and/or scotchguard...then ill be the bees knees! thanks all.
