Watermelons and vodka

So supposedly, you buy a watermelon, cut a hole in the top, stick your bottle in, and let the the watermelon's pores soak it up in the fridge overnight. Now that it's summer, sounds like the perfect outdoor treat, but I'm wary that it won't work as planned. Anyone done it already?

you dont stick the bottle in there. you cut a hole in the middle and hollow it out a little bit. then just fill it up, let it chill, and then sip/eat away.

This drink/mix is a panty dropper. Also, a bowl of maraschino cherries soaked in vodka usually goes over pretty well, too.
