won't the water line freeze when it has ice stuck in it? last year i turned the water on and i broke a pipe, it went all over our basement.

yes i am real

water doesn't freeze quickly in pipes when it is moving, but i'm not sure exactly what you are asking. we are fixing our faucet outside because it leaks so much that running water all night could cause some serious pipe damage from freezing. and if you use insulation on your piping as long as you don't leave standing water in it outside, you shouldn't have a problem.

Bring the hose inside when your done, let it drain. If waters moving, it takes a wh ile to freeze, or rotate hoses after a while

Lot's of people have hoses/pipes freeze because they dont un-hook it from the wall once they are done. Or, leave the hose full of water. Be smart, and take hte time to put everything away, and you shouldn't have any problems.

won't there be extra water in the pipes, no hose, when your done, that will freeze

no, it hasnt been a problem we've been using water in the winter forever and as long as you unplug the hose, it works out.. There is something built into the spicket i think that protects against that so you can still use water in the winter.

I looked into a little more. Most of the newer houses (probably within 20-30 years) are built with anti freeze faucets.. This way you dont need to turn off your water and it protects it from feezeing your pipes. My grandpa lives in a really old house so he has to turn off his water in the basement in the winter so it doesnt burst the pipes. Most of the newer homes should have protection against this. Ask your parents, they will know

Yea i checked with my dad it is no problem at all but def make sure to get the hoses inside

I haven't been on this for a while, but when matchory and I used his, it didn't seem to be a problem either, but deffinatly clear out the hose. idk where you guys live, but there no chance of making snow here, 50 or so degrees.
