OK so i know there are water ramps in Kodak park in lake placid. I live like 3 hours away and i want to go there so bad. I want to know the cost or price of like an entry fee and other details like, can you rbign your own skis, can you rent them and stuff like that.

1. Does anyone have any of this info or is there a link somewhere where i can find this info

2. Are there any camps? (i know PSI has one, im looking into it)

I do know you have to be with an organisation of some sort to do it, as opposed to the one near Quebec city where you just show up, sign forms and head out.

Bring your own skis and boots. I don't think you can rent and it doesn't really damage your stuff, just dry it out.

Although there is a very small risk that if you land funny you snap your skis, but its never happenend to me.

Make sure your din is set as high as it goes, losing a ski in the water sucks.

Have a helmet with you. Also, have life jacket and possibly a wet suit depending on the season. Wet suits are good even in the summer because an aquard fall will knock the wind out of you and hurt.

I'll answer more questions if you want just message me or post here or whatever.

you have to belong to ussa (unites States ski association) to do it. so once you become a member of that go to www.freestyleamerica.com and sign up for water ramps. its like 600 for a week for everything, food, jumping, lodging the works.

no u can just go and session them. free on sundays i think. maybe its just cause my friend knows one of the guys but u dont have to go thru any of that bullshit.

it was free for opening weekend last year, definitely not free once a week unless you know people, its 65ish a day if I rememeber correctly. you use your own skis usually and need to bring a skate helmet and lifevest

oh yah, another Question... dont hate snowboarders, they are cool, well some of them. Anyways are snowboarders allowed? i've got a friend or 2 that mite come with us if he can

they are allowed, but snowboarding on the ramps is fucking SKETCH. i was at ramps for a month last summer, and will be again this summer.

i have done em for 2 summers, and i might go this year too, there is a camp called freestyle america thats like 500 bucks for 6 days, and u stay at the olympic training center its pretty sweet

that's not exactly true cause like when i was there this huge family from quebec came and two random guys in the family decided that they wanted to try and had never ramped before. Basically what they did was pay the jumpers fee which is like 15$ or something like that, called ahead of time for an aerials coach that's always at the ramps and just did it. The thing is you have to call ahead cause you can't jump without some sort of a coach

other than camps and organized stuff idk how sessions work out

but i believe there is times you can just go up there and pay

I did a camp up there with Nick Preston i think it was, and it waas pretty good. I got to practie a lot of stuff on the big trampolines and then into water.

i've done them a bunch of times, it's a pretty legit operation... you have to get a coach and let them know when you're comming, it's like 50 bones a day as of last summer..... hit me up if you're planning some real shit

Ive gone with my team for 2-3 days every summer for about 4 years now, so I don't really know all the details because my coaches handle that, but there was this snowboarder there last year, and he just got on to try it(put his board on a couple feet up the ramp, then rode down but not off the jump) and didn't even hit the jumps cuz it was too sketch

I dont see why snowboarding would be any diffrent. If it was that much harder and not safe, they wouldn't allow it. Okay, so i'll head up sometime in the summer, but i need a phone number!!!! Or a website with contact info, even an email so i can ask them some stuff

last year it was free on tuesdays till like 2 it was chill but its fuckin super sketchy on snowboards and its ten times sketchier when u wear glasses and dont wear contacts...so your going blind into this jump on a snowboard but yeah tuesdays

theres going to be 10$ tuesdays, its i think 3 hours for that (not sure on this i just heard it from one of the nsa coaches that helps out there) the orda website will have most the info you need, pm me when your going i live about 10 minutes away and will hit it up with you

Ya me and a few of my friends are gonna make the drive this summer. I already have an up rail off the end of my dock, which is sweat, but never gone off a jump into that crazy bubbled water.

if i recall correctly its a $15 facilty fee and a $45 coaching fee but you are required to pay both.

NO MORE RICHIE! AHHHHHH so so sad. i dont know what i will do at ramps with out him

I am still sad over no richie, lake placid water ramps are gonna suck with out him. did anyone else grow as a person from the inspirational coatching of richie morgan?

^ yeah dude. richie was the man. and if you go i dont think you can ramp wedsnday afternoons because they do this ramp show thing but its pretty cool.

when i talked to him at killington in the end of march, i got the impression that he was still going to coach
